Patterson Battery is customer focus with fantastic service. 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS. I took my alternator to Patterson Battery in January 2020 with about 122,000 miles on my vehicle. My alternator had completely failed and they were able to rebuild it the same day. The alternator looked brand new! I couldn’t believe how clean they got it. Fast forward, June 2023 with 153,400 miles, voltage dropped again while driving two days in a row during a short 25-minute trip and thought it could be the alternator beginning to fail. It did temporarily go back to 14 volts for several minutes during the trip. I did not have the same catastrophic failure as 2020 when I required a tow. Anyway, took my alternator back to Patterson. They immediately tested the alternator and it was still good. They were happy to rebuild it but their advice was to check the wiring. Between disconnecting the battery, taking the alternator out, and then reconnecting everything, no issues for the past week. They were right, it must have been a bad connection somewhere. Just to ramble, after looking at a few GM sites for parts, my alternator is now discontinued. My only other option would have been to purchase an after-market alternator with a wire harness adapter to fit my car, no direct replacement available. Having the alternator rebuilt is the way to go. I know it will fit and is cheaper than buying a new replacement part. 3 years later, alternator is going strong.

My car battery was giving me issues. Mike was able to test it .. and diagnosis the problem super quick. Unfortunately my battery was shot , but he had a new one in stock .. and had me on my way in no time. Very nice and easy to communicate with. I would strongly recommend him to my friends.
