Pay Lower Car Care Center

Last week, I visited Pay Lower Car Care based on a friend's recommendation. I had a conversation with Mr. Fernando, the owner, about my car needing a tune-up as it had 89,000 miles. Mr. Fernando provided clear upfront pricing for the tune-up and oil change. Additionally, I mentioned a noise near the driver's side tire, and he assured me he would inspect it thoroughly. Impressively, Mr. Fernando committed to informing me of any issues before proceeding with repairs. After a detailed inspection, he assured me that everything was in good condition, and no additional repairs were necessary. Satisfied with the service and trusting Mr. Fernando, completely, I plan to recommend Pay Lower Car Care and Mr. Fernando to all my friends and family moving forward!

Don’t ever do business here. I took my car in for breaks 3 months ago and $250 sounded very reasonable for front brakes. Well you get what you paid for when the mechanic is dishonest. My breaks squeaked and scraped from that day and now 3 months later it’s metal in metal and scraping non stop . I would never recommend this shop if I could give them no stars I would

Do NOT take your car here! They have horrible service and give false information. I took my car to this shop February 14, 2013 and its now May 15,2013. It took them over a month to install a used engine and when I got it back, the engine blew after a week because they didn't put oil in the car. I have not been able to drive my car for more than a week without taking it back. When I have problems with the horrible work they did, I get blamed for it. Never seen anything like this in my life. I've even been offered alcohol on one of the days that I had to return my car. Before I took my car there it just needed a new engine. I've spent over $5,000 on a car thats not even worth $2000 blue book value. The mechanics dont take responsibility for the bad work they do and they will talk to you like they dont own a business. I just reported this shop to the Better Business Bureau about 30 minutes ago because I was told by the owner that its my fault they left a part off of my car and he wont fix it because he's not making any money off of my car. Everyone that has taken their car to this shop has had to return their car and often, get rid of the car because the car leaves with so many problems. And the problems are always YOUR fault, no matter the situation. SAVE YOUR CAR. Take it to East Side Auto...its in the same parking lot and the work there is excellent.

WORST SERVICE IN THE ANTELOPE VALLEY! Recently went to Pay Lower Car Care Center with our Ford Expedition, initially they were polite, professional and appeared to be hard-working honest mechanics. That was for our first visit… I ended up getting brake pads replaced for a reasonable fair price and it ran great for the first day. The following day it began to click and make a grinding sound, went back explained they looked again no cost, great! Same thing occurred the following day, and ironically the motor for the drivers window stopped working as well. Returned asked Fernando to look at the wheel again, only to have the wheel looked by a now different mechanic, the new mechanic was able to fix the matter once in for all while Fernando worked on the Window, after about 4 hours the Ford was fixed, upon inspecting the window I had realized the interior Vinyl and Door frame wasn't fully repositioned, I decided it was minimal and reasonable to just let the matter go. About a month later, sister had purchased a Used BMW and I had suggested Pay Lower, unfortunately that was a disaster, "Apparently" there was wiring issues that had manifested during her "2ND" visit and the mechanics hand no clue how to resolve the issue. Sister stressing over the expenses and the costs with the continued "beating around the bush" with no explanation, she eventually cut a deal with the mechanic who had worked on the Ford's Tire and sold it to him for $400.00 a $1600.00 loss within one month time not including the hundreds of dollars she invested in trying to find the problem. About a week later the only competent mechanic at Pay Lower quit while speaking to us after our disappointment that he would be leaving, his reason "Fernando, was undercutting his mechanic's wages and charging more then required for repairs to costumers." Needless to say we continued going to Pay Lower, because there just aren't any honest mechanics in the Antelope Valley. Today is July 4th 2016 3:31 P.M. I just picked up our Ford Expedition after seeking a replacement starter that was having minimal difficulty turning over and ONCE AGAIN! Front Right Passenger Tire is making more scratching and tearing noises. When we initially brought the vehicle in for the Starter and to service and replace bearing it was at the beginning stages of what would eventually be more serious problems and we purposely acted immediately. A day Later July 4th we got it back as mentioned above, tried to turn over the starter and it was WORSE! then before with a BRAND NEW STARTER! Even the Key Locked up in the Steering column and to top it all off the WIndow Vinyl framing was completely undone only being held up by the console in the armrest. The wheel was EVEN Worse! when it was manageable prior to taking it in, Fernando gave some low no Brain IQ explanation that was completely irrelevant to the Bearings and tried to rip us off stating we need to further invest money into the Truck to have it serviced further. At this point we were livid especially since it was there unprofessionalism and lack of expertise in automotive repair that caused these problems to go unresolved and cascade out of control and not to mention financially, easily $1,500+ has been spent with none of the matters resolved but the Motor for the window which attributed another issue needing to be repaired. We returned the Truck it is currently sitting there July 4th doubt much will be done with the holiday, we stated and more or less threatened to have it repaired and fixed or we were going to sue them in small Claims. Do Not TRUST! THESE DISHONEST CROOKS AND SCAM ARTISTS, thinking about it now I don't think any of them know how to work on vehicles accept for the man that quit, don't even think Fernando is legal or even has proper certification to even have the business open. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE FOR ANY FORM OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS! Liars, Cheats, and Thieves. *I'm being forced to give them at least one star in order to post this which I don't even think this business should be allowed to have.
