They keep the doors locked and only allow 2 customers in the store at a time. It's 9:30AM and there's a line of people waiting to get in. Once you get inside the guys working here are actively discouraging people from buying anything or having their car serviced. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen at an auto repair place. The guy with the tattoos all over (NOR-CAL tattoo guy) seems very agitated and is talking to one of the customers in a very aggressive sort of intimidating manner. It would make me VERY uncomfortable but the guy he's talking to is handling it well. There are several reasons I could list as to why I never recommend bringing your car to a Pep Boy's for any sort of repair/ maintenance. However, I would avoid this particular place even if you just want to buy a bottle of car wax or windshield wipers. It is absolutely that bad

We were on a roadtrip and far from home when the check engine light came on. It was later in the afternoon and the tech who does the diagnostics was not there so we left the car overnight. I received a call promptly the next morning, the thermostat was stuck in the open position. The team installed the new part and replaced the coolant. The manager was extremely helpful and I left feeling satisfied and confident that the problem was solved. I’ve used Pep Boys in two different locations twice in the last couple of weeks. If you’re in the San Jose area, Roger and the crew on El Camino Real are good people that you can trust.

I found my battery was dead on a Saturday evening. I contacted Pep boys online on Sunday morning and was able to get a convenient appointment that day. They were able to locate the right battery after making sure that the battery was the problem. They completed the work faster than promised. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

I had the worst service and experience with the staff at this store. Despite there being no other customers present, I was ignored and left waiting for a long time while one of the employees focused on something else. Additionally, I received incorrect information from them. The staff were rude and unprofessional. I will never return to this place and do not recommend it to anyone looking for efficient service. They acted like it was their last day of work and did not care about anything. Don't waste you time here.TIME IS MONEY!!!

Although my 1978 280Z was older than most cars, PepBoys (Ross), consulted the mechanic and agreed they would install a tire on my car. Finished in a timely manner. Worked out well and will return with my newer model car when I need new tires.
