Needed an inspection, regular shop was unavailable. Tried Pep Boys for the first time on 1/4. Four-year-old car, 27K miles that is regularly serviced by dealer. I decided to wait. Had an 8am appointment. After an hour, they call me up to the desk and they say the car needed new tires, failed a safety inspection, new tire fasteners are needed, and the list goes on. I pay the $37 and said no thank you, I'll have these issues reviewed somewhere else. They fail the car, remove the previous inspection and I go on my way. Get appointment at another shop two days later. They review the Pep Boys paperwork and the car to confirm. They say the car inspects fine, finds no issues and that this was just a money grab.

I had 8:30 am appointment dropped off company vehicle all whent smooth, fast forward 3:30pm text vehicle is ready. I arrived to pick it up 4:45 vehicle is still on the lift being worked on and no explanation or apologies for the inconvenience said another 20 minutes, i wound up getting my truck at 5:50 pm. again no apologies for the delay.

Went to Pep Boys for my annual inspection. Didn't have to wait that long for my car to be serviced. They efficiently performed the inspection and fortunately no repairs were needed. Good job Pep Boys!

very friendly staff. I go every year for the annual vehicle inspection. the team was kind enough to apply my registration sticker in addition to applying the required NY state inspection sticker. they greet me with smiles and good vibes
