Pep Boys

I was very skeptical of going to Pep Boys after reading the reviews. I had not been to a Pep Boys in years and the reviews did not help. However, I must say that I am glad that I went. I went on a Sunday for brake service. There was only one person there when I arrived. The techs took my vehicle back very quickly and begin to work on it promptly. Jimmy the new manager is the best!!! He was honest and upfront! He did not try to up sale me on anything that wasn't needed and helped me to get the best price which was awesome! I must say that from beginning to end I had no complaints. Everything went smooth and Jimmy helping me with any current promotions avail was icing on the cake. My only recommendation is that some TLC needs to be put into the waiting area. It could definitely use some remodeling, new chairs, paint etc. Thanks Jimmy for making lemonade out of lemons!! Pep Boys should definitely keep you at the reseda location!

We went for wheels alignment and tire rotation today. Back in March, we replaced the tires at this location and bought a life warranty on the tire rotation at that time. All I can say it was the worst customer service experience I had at this Pep Boys location. First, our appointment was reserved online, and we were first in line at 8:00am. The store opened at 8:10am when the lady from the front desk arrived and she arrived in a very bad mood. She displayed a lack of customer service skills right from the beginning by making sarcastic comments about our appointment reservation which got my blood boiling. The way she interrogated and cut us off when we tried to explain what she was asking in the first place made me feel like I was in front of the school principal and the last time that happened to me was 40 years ago. She also tried to argue with us about the charge for tire rotation. Since we already purchased the plan when we installed the tires, all she had to do is to pull up that receipt in her computer which would indicate that the tire rotation service would be free for me at this time, but when my husband pointed it out, she told him she doesn’t know (I suspect she did not want to) how to do it. We had to bring the paperwork with us when we were picking up the car to prove that the rotation service should be free for our car. I read the comments on Google before posting mine and I saw that everybody was praising Natalie. My suspicion is that all praising comments are made by family members because the Natalie we experienced was irritated, not professional and with negative attitude up to the roof. I would not be surprised it this location will go out of business; they already have a sign that they are hiring on the door. I give ZERO stars for this location.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Pep Boys! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and eager to assist. They quickly diagnosed the issue with my vehicle and provided a clear, detailed explanation of the repairs needed. I was impressed with their honesty and transparency regarding costs and timelines.

It was very easy to schedule appointment! Jimmy was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The technician was very thorough checking out my car! All coupons were honored! I'll be back!
