Pep Boys

My parking gear was stuck in park. This happened one before. I was told, by another shop, I needed a transmission. Almost a year later, it happens again. A tow truck driver showed me the white button beneath the gear shift plate to release the shift lever. By the time I got home my ABS light had come on too and stayed on. Pep Boys correctly diagnosed the faulty switches and had my car back to me in a very short time. Pep Boys has always been my go-to shop for tires and repairs. I wish I hadn't let myself be talked into that last shop.

I had a great experience here with my Enterprise Fleet cargo van. Typically they only have until 12 noon to get work approved, even with this short window time they still get my van serviced. Great work from the PepBoys Service team as always!

Horrible service at Pep Boys in Rialto. I did not receive my vehicle back exactly how I brought it in. I am always having to argue with the supervisor, Rick, at Pep Boys in Rialto. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO PEP BOYS. I will make sure they will be out of business

2/3/25 I am now updating my review less than 1 year later. I went to pepboys, Josh assisted me...to get a oil change & rotate my tires and I dropped it off. I asked them to look at my breaks because they are squeaking. So when they call me to recommend my front breaks replaced I go get my file for car records. I see pepboys did my last front breaks in April 2024 and were under warranty 24 months/24 miles. It is now only 10 months and 17,000 miles later... so I ask if they can repair the front breaks under my warranty. Josh puts me on hold for a few minutes, comes back to say my breaks are fine after all & have 60% life left on them. OMG! So dishonest! I asked Josh, do you see how dishonest this sounds that after you find out I have warranty there is no issue on the front breaks... and that he was calling to get my approval to fix a $250+ expense? He said it does sound bad and apologized but he said he called me without the paperwork in front of him. That is puzzling to me. How can you call a customer to ask them to authorize a $250 charge for services without any paperwork in front of you? Blows my mind. I came to pepboys Rialto because I felt Goodyear in Rialto was dishonest, now this happens. I have been trying so hard to find a honest auto shop. I am a disappointed customer. I drive for my work so I need a reliable company to give my business to. So sad it will not be here anymore. **********((last April 2024 below)********** Pepboys saved my day. My regular auto shop (Goodyear, in Rialto) said my front breaks were about to be done and I need new front breaks. It is a 2020 car and I had it 2 years. They said the rotars need new replacement that they couldn't shave them down and would cost me $460 for breaks and new rotars. I had a funny feeling so I took it to pepboys( in Rialto) for a 2nd opinion. Lou, at Pepboys, replaced the front breaks, (the silver package) and with my $40 online coupon I was able to get my front breaks done for about $250. Lou was great, he said my rotars were more than good to shave them down and did not need to be replaced. I feel like pepboys saved the day. Pepboys was very honest and I will be taking my car there from now on.... (see updated post above less than 1 year later).
