Perfection Window Films

A year ago, we had Perfection install privacy window film on our patio doors and rear windows---the windows that face West in our house. We had just installed new hardwood flooring and didn't want the sun to fade the color over time. In addition, the neighbors had a clear view of our home, and we like to keep blinds open. The 3-M film has resolved both of those problems. It looks crystal clear and you can only tell it is on the windows when you compare them with another window that doesn't have the film. While I cannot speak to their customer service as we've had no issues, I can say that quote and installation were both smooth. (I think I recall that we measured the windows ourselves, sent them a measurements and photos...which was easy to do as they are first floor.) They mailed us samples of several levels of 3-M protection, and we chose what worked best for us. We are very satisfied.

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to use this company but I called anyway. There was some struggle with obtaining the window measurements but Paul was very communicative. I think a better way to approach the measurement topic is to say we offer free estimates and measures and not offer to have the homeowner measure - it would take the negative impression of being lazy out of the equation. I had no issues getting ahold of anyone. The film was installed today and the two guys, Mario and Jose, did a great job and were friendly.

It is very, very hard to get a hold of anyone when you call. Additionally we were going to have someone come out to install some film on two windows. Unfortunately due to the type of windows we had they were unable to install the product. The frustrating piece was they removed and threw away privacy film that was previously on the windows. It was frustrating they charged us the minimum ($360) for doing nothing. I understand they need to charge something but $360 for 30 minutes of doing nothing seems excessive. They are a preferred 3M dealer and I am sure they do great work. In my situation the experience left some to be desired.

Do not waster your time with these guys. They have no desire to work or earn any business. I called for a free quote and 'Paul' wants to me climb a ladder and measure a window on the second floor of my home. Pure laziness. I called several other companies and they schedule appointments to send a technician for a free estimate. They just missed out because several neighbors agreed to get their windows done once they see the results.
