To be honest, while the shop was able to get me in same day for a smog check, he didn't follow up on the details of my catalytic converter, I had to go to the Cal ref for verification of my Catalytic converter and according to the ref, if he would have checked the numbers for that type of catalytic he would have fond the cat was legal and save me two days worth of hassle. All I can say is there find if nothing is wrong.

I can see why there's less than 4 stars. I pull up at 7:56. The door is propped up with a door wedge. I walk in and this walking attitude of a woman comes out from the side room and says with a sour face, obviously not wanting to be there "yes, can I help you"?. I said good morning, I'm looking to get a smog. She then abruptly states while not even complete with my sentence "we're not open". As I glance at my watch and notice it's now 7:57 (they open at 8). I looked at her, let her know her customer service was a compete joke. I left and went to one of the other many repair/smog shops on town. Dons is the best! If you're not open, don't open the doors.

Mechanic was excellent and super informative. Did the job. Only downside was customer service at front counter. Asked service advisor to break down cost of diagnostics and repairs and she was extremely rude to me. Threw my keys at the counter and said, " your service is done, you can go" I tried to difuse the situation and requested to please break down the service. Eventually she helped me but kept a stern attitude and even said, "she just stands there and looks like an idiot all day and doesn't know anything". Hesitant to continue getting my car serviced there because of this incident. May need to look for another shop and take my business elsewhere.

I brought my vehicle in for a smog check which it failed, and brought it back to get fixed. Staff at the front were rude and dismissive, and spent a lot of time in idle conversation, not regarding business, while I waited to be helped. But I'm patient, so I let that go as just rude people. However when I got my keys back after the repairs, I found that the front seat belt latch is broken. It was fine 24 hours before when I dropped it off, and won't latch now. They refused to do anything about it, denied any fault (I get it, accidents happen) and simply suggested I spray some WD-40 in there and walked away. It is not safe to use, so I gotta spend another $50 to replace something that wasn't broken when I trusted them with it. If you have to get your car fixed, this should be the last place you take it. It would have been worth leaving it for a week in Bakersfield to not have someone break my truck through negligence. UPDATE: The check engine light came back on after only 800 miles (one drive back to Oregon). Whatever they had done to "fix" the system to pass emissions will have to be done all over again this year, likely for another $750. Scam.
