May 30, 2024 I should have written this review a long time ago. You might wonder why someone with a lowly, older Chrysler Town & Country Van would be going to an Auto Repair Shop that works on fancy cars. We'll it started when I received a coupon for an oil change. I kept receiving the coupons every time I needed it. You know how Rizzoli's lists everything you need to get checked out? They did alot of things costing $5,118.77. One of those things was my driver side window. It would occasionally go down, and not go back up as it should. That specific repair was $434.66. Just after the repairs I went to Splash & Dash to use the coupon Rizzoli's gave me. Put window down to give the attendant the coupon, AND THE WINDOW WOULD NOT GO UP! I worked with it and it finally went up. I called Rizzoli's as soon as I was out of the car wash, and talked to Randy about it. He said to bring it back in when you are having the problem. Well, I had the problem, in the evening, on the weekend, when Rizzoli's is closed. It was happening alot 10 - 15 times each month. Finally it happened when they were open, I hurried over and Randy saw that it needed to be checked out. I brought it back another day, I'm waiting in the customer lounge. Randy comes in and tells me that it is going to cost $300 +. I refuse to pay an additional amount when they never did fix it properly the first time. Rizzoli's wants me to pay $700 + to get this fixed. I tried calling + emailing  Karen Rizzoli in SLO about this, and she never did get back with me. IS RIZZOLI'S GOING TO TREAT YOU THIS WAY ALSO? THEY DIDN'T FIX IT PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME. REALLY THEY SHOULD HAVE REFUNDED MY MONEY, OR FIXED IT SO IT WORKED PROPERLY WITHOUT ANOTHER CHARGE. Below is the email I sent to Karen Rizzoli: Emailed: 11/28/22 November 28, 2022 To: Karen Rizzoli From: Kathryn Hi Karen, I left you a voice mail on 11/14/22. I'm sure you must not of received it. Your so great communicating soon after I have a service. My concern at this time is: INVOICE DATE: 7/09/2021 INVOICE # 64793 The Santa Maria Shop repaired and serviced many things. One of them was a problem with my front windows. They would sporadically not go up, mainly the one used most, the driver's window. Directly after getting it repaired I was headed to the car wash, and when putting the window down to give the attendant the Free Splash n Dash coupon, it wouldn't go up. I eventually was able to get it up. I called Rizzoli's and they said I would have to bring it in when it was having problems. I've had problems every month, from 3 - 15 times a month, at night and weekends when you aren't open. Finally it happened during the day when you are open. I hurry over to the shop, leave the car running and have Randy check it. It goes right up then down, but he couldn't get it to go up again. I came in a few days later and they checked it. Randy tells me it will be Three Hundred +. I don't feel I should have to pay again for it to be fixed,  because it was never fixed correctly the first time. Still an issue. 8/24 ~ Why should I contact Rizzolis? Do you think by their reply that they are going to finally fix my window without an additional charge? They should be calling me, letting me know what they are willing to do. They really don't care. My experience at Rizzoli's was excellent. Randy Tate went above and beyond to help me in a difficult situation. I was visiting from out of town and greatly appreciated Randy's honesty and help. I highly recommend this business!

I trust Rizzoli’s for the maintenance of my vehicle.. Have been going there for 10 years. Next time will get my tires there as well. They charge at their cost for tires and will rebalance if needed. The leading tire store in Santa Maria charges the same price, and does not have re-balance service.

My 2018 Kia Soul broke down on the way to work. A few people said it was my fuel pump from the symptoms. Long sad story short, this place "took" me for $4200! If that wasn't bad enough, after waiting 2 weeks for my car, they gave it back to me withe "check engine" light on telling me I need a catalytic converter for a mere cost of $5,000! I am a 70 year old widow on a fixed income. There was no way I could pay that amount so I was stuck with a car that had it's check engine light on. They took complete advantage of me not knowing anything about cars. Some months later I took my car to a little car repair place to see if they could get that light to shut off. All they had to do was replace 2 oxygen sensors (Rizzolis claimed they had done this already) and they said nothing wrong with my converter. Beware of this place. They are out and out crooks.

I called for a quote for repairs needed per another shop’s inspection. They said I’d have to bring it in bc they would have to conduct their own inspection. BEWARE: They charged $200 for an estimate!! Their bid was also nearly double what the other shop’s was.
