I just moved from out of state and had no clue where to even start looking for a mechanic. I was advised by my trusted family members to go to Rudy. Let me just say I had the best experience! I am a female who doesn’t know much about cars, and it can be intimidating going into a mechanic when I don’t know what’s wrong. Rudy made it very simple for me and helped me out in the best way. He got the work done on my car in less than 24 hours. His wife was incredibly helpful as well. Their professionalism is unmatched and this is the best experience I’ve had with car work in my 7 years of driving. Thanks Rudy and Marina!

Rudy and his wife are good people and Rudy's knowledge is impressive. I took my car to him after a previous mechanic rebuilt the motor, but did not assemble it correctly. After one hour, Rudy was able to pinpoint where the assembly went wrong and gave me a quote for the fix, along with pictures. Another hour later, I had my car back good as new. Great work and honest quotes.

Many years ago before smartphones, driving by Rudy's shop I saw a Shelby AC Cobra, so I pulled a u-turn and went to check it out. It was an original, so that burned into my mind that the owner of a $500k-$1mil Cobra thought to take his rare gem to Rudy's in Costa Mesa instead of all the high roller (Ferrari, Lambo, McClaren, etc) car shops around OC. Fast forward several years and I needed a place to store cars. It took me a year or more to convince Rudy to let me rent his side garage, and now I'm in my 2nd year there. It is such a perfect facility for an auto shop. His dad actually built the buildings himself. Rudy is much the same way, nothing mechanical/electical phases him. He is so good at what he does, and when working he moves so fluidly - he's got all the steps in his head. It's always fun to watch him work honestly. You get more than what you pay for with labor for sure - he is extremely efficient with his time and will explain every option thoroughly. His wife is often at the shop also, and she is super "on-it" and a sweetheart. So if you have a high end domestic collector that needs some work done, he definitely won't keep your car forever like other shops. I hope this review helps someone give him a shot, God forbid anyone reading this has something break unexpectedly.

I have gone to Rudy's for 20 years for AA my car needs and have never had a problem. Excellent people, work and service. I recommend them all the time.
