S & R Towing Inc. - Vista

Called these guys to get a quote on moving a forklift from one warehouse to another. Was quoted $200/hr from dispatch to delivery to the second location. On the phone I even estimated the trip to be about 1.5 hours and clarified "that would be $300?" and was told yes. That seems fair and I booked it. The next day I received a text @ 8:39am that they were in route, the equipment was delivered to the second location 1 hour and 5 minutes later, so I was expecting a bill between $2-300. Was THEN informed they have a 2 hour minimum and was charged $400. When I told them that wasn't what I was quoted and I felt ripped off, they didn't care and charged me anyway. Won't be doing business with them again.

All negative experience with the towing service. It was frustrating and unfair. Taking them to court could be an option to address the issue and seek compensation is going to be the only way. They over over charged me. 500 just to pick the car up. And they shouldn't of towed it. The sign was legal in the drift place. I asked them to work with me since I am on disability. They didn't want to hear any thing I had to say. Crying because at 16 days it was over 1300 $. They were nothing but rude to me. I have all my rights to sue. After talking to a lawyer. Excessive fees. Etc. I will do everything that can be done so know one will have to lose there car. Everything Please be carefull and you have rights.

Excellent customer service both by phone and driver. Setup was quick and easy. Was told an estimate time of 2-3 hours, but they came in 1.5 hours! Driver was very nice and professional. They towed back to my house and placed exactly how I wanted. Great towing company!

I used S & R Towing twice in the last week. Once to move my car to a shop and again to get it back home when the repair costs started to exceed the vehicles value. Both times I received quality care, they handled everything over the phone, which was very helpful since I couldn't be with the car. Both times I called them were during their busiest hours, they quoted me an hour and a half wait time, both times were about an hour. I was not with my vehicle, so this is a positive to me, if you are stuck with your vehicle, keep the wait time in mind. The tow price is pretty reasonable. I paid about $250 for both tows, but please keep in mind that I had to tow my car almost 15 miles the second time and they charge by mileage. Feel free to shop around, but i called more than a few places and I considered this a reasonable cost for my situation. Might not be the lowest, but it is fair. All-in-All, I am pleased with the service. I hope I won't need a tow any time soon, but if I need one near Vista again, I will call S&R first.

My battery died on my way to work at 5 in the morning. I called S&R at 5:12 the driver was there in 20 minutes and my car was off the truck by 5:58. In the past I’ve had towing experiences that were hours long. The woman on the phone and James the driver were both very pleasant to work with. I hope I don’t need a tow again for a long time but if I do I’m calling S&R again.
