You cannot beat a starter or alternator built by Sailon. Dennis at Sailon is easy to work with and provides the best service and product. I have spent big money over the years on high performance starters and alternators. They usually failed within 2 years. I brought them to Sailon to get rebuilt and have never had another issue. Sailon has now done the starter motor, battery, and alternator in my 69 Camaro and the starter motor in my 57 Chevy. When the time comes they will do my alternator and battery on that car too. They are the best there is, period.

The Alternator on my sailboat was shot - The power terminal was wobbling kind of broke. I asked the Marina Manager who they use and was told explicitly, Sailon Electric in Syosset. I talked with Paul on the phone and they had an OEM replacement so I got ready to take my old alternator and ride on over. Another sailor had suggested a place over in College Point. He got a good deal on the one he had done 10 years ago. I checked the reviews and they were mixed, so I decided to go with Pat's recommendation. When Paul saw my original he knew right away that it wasn't the manufacturers original. He let me know it was an upgraded Balmar and that if I wanted he could fix or rebuild it. I went for the rebuild as it seemed obvious the man knew his stuff and I wanted a reliable fix. A couple of days later, Paul left me a message to come pick it up. It looked as pretty as an alternator can look on the counter. I explained my system and some confusion I had as to how to attach the external regulator (which he tested for me, gratis) showed Paul a diagram that he just dismissed and let me know I was complicating the situation. Paul then simply walked me through what went where and it started to make more sense. The alternator is installed and cranks out the Amps. I am very glad I took Manhasset Bay Marina's recommendation to use Sailon Electric for my Marine Alternator Rebuild.

Paul was very helpful from this professional business location. I had a Caterpillar engine with a starting problem he was able to walk me through to find out what was wrong even after I brought this starter in to get it replaced. He could have sold me the starter regard less but took the time to give me some valuable education. You don't find a lot of businesses that will take the time to help out like that they have gained a life long customer.
