“Bad services” This is the worse place I ever take my car. They charged me $80 to checked my car and the mechanic. He just lift the hood of my car and that was all didn’t even checked a single part to figure out what was wrong with my AC what was wrong, plus they disconnected a spark plug to my car with the purpose of taking my car back to them the AC has nothing to do with the spark plugs of my Car how stupid is it. Never take your car to this place or they gonna ruin your car just to make you to take your car back to them to take all the money as they can

Bill from Salem Auto Repair is someone that a friend of mine knew. I was referred to this gentleman to repair my vehicle and what I received was a nightmare. First and foremost, Bill is a scammer; he preys on women and those without mechanical or legal knowledge. I spoke to bill over the phone and explained what was occurring with my vehicle; he advised me to have the car towed in and he could take care of it. After having the vehicle "diagnosed", Bill told me that I needed a new timing belt and a tune-up. He said this would cost $600. I spoke to another mechanic to get a second opinion. The other mechanic explains to me that the job Bill was doing was usually done to save the engine. I went in to see bill later that day and asked him specifically about the engine. My words: "I know that this job is generally done to save the engine, are you sure that the work you are doing is going to get the car running? Do you believe I need to repair the engine?" Bill's words: "This is all you need. Once we have replaced these parts, your car will be up and running." The next day Bill called me to inform me that my car was ready; he called with the sound of worry. I went in to pickup my vehicle only for Bill to tell me that the car will not run correctly. He advised me that I now have a knocking engine and that I would need to call a tow truck. I asked Bill if he expected me to pay for the service although my car wasn’t running. He said yes. Immediately the troubles began. I told Bill, I paid you to get my car running and it is not running. I asked you if your recommendation were certain and if there would be an issue with the engine after your repairs, you said no. I advised him that I was not going to pay for a vehicle I couldn't drive, a vehicle that I would have to tow home and pay someone else to pickup his slack. Bill began to curse and scream. He shouted in my faces telling me to get the **** off his lot. I had already referred my sister, whose car was being towed in at the time of the incident. I immediately told the tow truck to take her car home. Bill called my sister and told her that I better pay his money or he will tear my car up and junk it. He shouted and cursed at my sister as well. This man is the very definition of unprofessional. After all the fuss, Bill took my keys and car. He began locking his shop with the intent of leaving. Luckily, I know the law. This is more of a small claims matter and he could not keep my vehicle especially since no forms were ever signed. I called the police. Bill drove over curbs of his lot to flee the scene before the cops arrived. I was able to speak with the cops who advised Bill to return my vehicle. Bill informed the police that he would not return until morning. The next morning Bill calls to inform me that he is no longer going to steal my vehicle and I could come to pick it up. My car returned off the tow truck in an unsightly manner. Bill ripped every part out that he installed. He tore wires, disassembled screws and bolts. He then tosses all of my remaining parts under my hood with no assembly whatsoever. I was left with junk. Please, do not deal with this man. There is another review thread for this business that has very similar reviews. I am currently dealing with a legal matter but I fully intend to approach this legally so that Bill can be stopped.

This is the worst mechanic I have encountered. He is extremely dishonest, he drives around in customers car for personal pleasures, uses customers cars as loaners for other customers. I took my Lexus truck to be repaired and he was using my truck for his personal use. In addition he smoked and drank and left it in my car. He also constantly changes his prices and almost always wants cash even though it says credit cards are accepted on the door.

My car needed brakes and they did them for me so fast and I haven't had ant problems.ans didn't charge me much at all.
