Came in for a transmission replacement after my Nissan Altima trany was slipping. They diagnosed the issue very quickly and I had my car back up and running in a couple days. Andrew is very honest and transparent about costs and gave me a good deal compared to other shops

BEWARE!!!!!! This place 100% is a rip off. I hate that I have to give 1 star. Initially I thought Andrew was being honest with me and unfortunately he's cool demeanor is not genuine. 11/5/24 I took my 2002 Toyota Camry to get diagnosed since I was having an oil leak and the check engine light was on. Andrew (the owner?) said the diagnosis would be free and said upon initial inspection I definitely needed a major tune up and quoted me $360. He said this would take care of the check engine light. I leave my car and within 2 hours I get a call saying theres a big problem. The car has a major coolant leak and oil leaks. The price went up to $1600. I go to pick up the car 11/6, and I was charged $1979 to include a finance fee of $15 since I was financing this. Andrew said the $1600 was pre-tax when actually I was charged $1475 in labor and $474.91 in parts. Tax was less than $40. I immediately felt decieved and regretted choosing this shop. I paid, and after I drove off everything appeared to be good. Later that night, the check engine light turned on. I went back to the shop 11/8 since I had to work previous days and after 45m of my car being looked at, I was told that the light went on because they pressure washed the engine. Everything appeared to be good, and later that night, the check engine light came back on. The shop was closed 11/9-11/11 On 11/12 I went back to the shop. I was told the code scanner is reading a"new code" I need to replace an engine coil, which is causing a misfire, and I would ONLY pay $52. This engine coil is literally where the spark plugs are. How was this missed? I pay the $52 and after an hour of waiting I leave and the code is cleared. Well guess what, the code pops back on! I call Andrew and he tells me he'll need the car for a couple days to figure out what's going on. My car sits at the shop for 3 WEEKS! Every time I pass the shop I see my car in the same spot. I am told they can't figure it out but Andrew says he will take care of my smog and will get to the bottom of this. HE DIDN'T! I was ignored for days and after numerous calls and being told Andrew isn't there etc. I send my son to pick up the car on the 21st day. My son states there were 3 people in the office all complaining about similar issues. They took 45m to move the car since the driveway was blocked. They made sure to clear the check engine light before he left but it popped up that night. Fast forward to today 2/11/25. I took the car to new mechanic and he pointed out the parts that were supposedly replaced and told me They are old! Not replaced. Stated I have 3 major oil leaks and in his opinion the car is not worth repairing. It would cost me $1000 plus to repair just the oil leaks. This doesn't even address the check engine light.I spent $2031 with So Cal Auto!! I was completely taken advantage of. Please beware. I am contacting the Bureau of Automotive repair and will be taking this shop to small claims. This is NOT OK.

In this day and age, it’s hard to find a reputable mechanic. This is my first time taking my vehicle there and I was very impressed on their honesty and intention given to me. Even after their diagnosis was incorrect, they did find the problem and I wasn’t charged anything extra, they handled it in a timely manner. I found myself a new mechanic that I will be going to from here on. Definitely recommend this shop to anybody you won’t be disappointed.

Brought my truck in mid day with a bad transmission fluid leak. Andrew and Jacob got it all taken care of by the end of the day at a pretty fair price. Would definitely reccomend them to anyone in need of transmission or any other vehicle repair.
