Professional local shop with excellent results and great customer service. 5/5, highly recommend. I brought in my 2001 Honda Civic LX to Star Transmissions after the auto transmission started experiencing “slipping” and torque converter shudder following an engine rebuild at another shop. Anthony and his team were very professional and helpful in working me through what was initially a very stressful situation. They spent a lot of time on the road and in the shop trying to eliminate the issues without a costly transmission rebuild. Although I had been told by AAMCO that the “slipping” issue was caused by a “1-2 slip” and would necessitate the rebuilding of my transmission, Anthony was able to diagnose and eliminate the “slipping” issue by replacing a worn engine mount for a very reasonable price. As far as the torque converter shudder, Anthony informed me that there was a good chance that it could be fixed inexpensively applying “Shudder Fix” but if not, then a replacement of the torque converter might be necessary. Whereas other shops tried to shoehorn me into a costly repair right off the bat, I appreciate Anthony doing his due diligence and trying the least expensive option first. Ultimately, the torque converter was too far gone and I ended up getting the transmission completely rebuilt for a reasonable price. On pricing, Anthony was fair, transparent and true to the quoted price, which is not always the case in my experience dealing with shops. The car now runs great, and aside from a tiny solenoid gasket leak which Anthony’s team quickly fixed free of charge under warranty, I have had no issues for 10,000 miles. A visit to the transmission shop is similar to a heart surgeon in the sense that you hope will never have to go through it, but Star Transmissions made the ordeal into a very pleasant experience. I want to Thank Anthony from Star Transmissions for being an Awesome and Honest businessman. My 2017 Chevy Van I brought to my local mechanic. My local mechanic said I needed a New Transmission. The Chevy Van only has 55k miles on it. I did a Google search and read the reviews. I called the office and Anthony told me to bring van down. Van is fixed. It needed a tune up, mount and new fluids. As a business owner for over 30 yrs and implementing honesty and integrity for that span I found someone with that same quality. After getting the run around and super ridiculous prices I spoke to Anthony the owner of STAR Transmissions Not only does he have a great rating review he lives by it. This guy was super helpful, honest and tries to help you out first before all else. Not only will he save you money he wont rip you off. You ever need help He"s the guy!!!! Thank again.

Just recently had work done on my car by Anthony from star transmissions. they took their time on my car, but it was absolutely warranted and all the more worth it! My car runs fantastic and better than it did before it went in for repairs. Anthony is very friendly, professional and a absolutely chill guy! I highly recommend their services and their work, five out of five stars.

Absolutely incredible service from this shop. Anthony assisted me with diagnosing a transmission issue, walked me through step by step on the process and pricing, and had me leaving the shop very satisfied!
