I brought my car to Steve after seeing a few other mechanics. He was fabulous at repairing my car, Steve finally got it back on the road. I'm so happy, he saved me a lot of money. Steve is very knowledgeable, caring, honest, and he is very fair in his estimated repair costs. It's so hard to find an honest mechanic as I'm a woman.

Steve is the last of his kind. All the long time VW Bug mechanics are going the way of the dinosaur, but thank goodness Steve is still going at it! One of my spark plugs blew out of my '74 VW Bug. I made the mistake of taking it to a non V-Dub place at the behest of a client of mine, knowing good and well they either couldn't fix it or would charge me out the wazoo to do so. It was the latter! I found Steve during an internet serach. What caught my eye was that he stated he had 50 years experience working on VW's. I quickly had my Bug towed out to Steve in Simi Valley. Speaking to Steve about what was going on with my Bug and the other host of problems it has, I knew he was the guy! I've had my Bug since high school and can quickly sniff out who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't. Steve had me back on the road the very next day! My Buggy Bug needs a lot more work and rest assured I will be packing a lunch and making that trek out to Simi Valley to Steve's Pit Stop! :) THANKS STEVE!

I made the mistake of buying a Brazilian VW Bus from a dealership in Florida. Upon receiving it in California, it broke down the first time i drove it. I sought out help and found Steve's Shop online. Steve was able to identify numerous problems with the bus. He took the time to show me all of the concerns and issues and taught me a great deal about the workings of the bus. He worked miracles in a short period of time to fix many of the issues and get the bus up and running. He was honest and fair in his pricing. I learned a lot from Steve and I cant imagine that there are many other experts around anymore with this much knowledge and ability to work on these classics.

Steve is the man. I recently bought a '65 beetle and he has twice saved me hundreds of $$$ with simple (but critical) adjustments and advice while other mechanics were telling me to have major repair work done. Ignore the negative reviews. Steve is honest and knows his stuff. Highly recommended!
