My 2018 Explorer just hit 60k miles and I'm ashamed to say it was driving a bit jerky, so I was shopping around to see who would offer a fair deal on a PTU and Transmission fluid swap and spark plugs replacement. I called few shops, and a handful of mechanics had already lost my trust when they didn't even know what "PTU" means and their prices seemed outrageous for the little labor required for the service. However I call StressFree Auto, we're already speaking the same lingo, and the quotes I'm being given on the spot are fair, alright they got a customer. I bring my car in, and they tell me everything will be handled in one day along with a free inspection, great! I arrive back later in the day, and as soon as I drive away, ah the motion is so blissful almost like a virtual camera, no jerkyness at all. I would absolutely recommend StressFree Auto especially this shop.

They have a very efficient operation, using software well to communicate. They take pictures of issues they find so that you can see exactly what the problem areas look like in their diagnostic report. I learned a few things about that parts of my car. Their pricing was quite reasonable and they solved my issue quickly.

This was the best experience I've had with an auto shop. They were professional, quick, and reasonably priced. The text alerts were useful to stay up-to-date with the progress of my job. And once the job was done, I was provided an online report with pictures, videos, and descriptions. I will definitely be coming back for all of my routine work in the future.

We just had a great experience at Stress-Free Auto Care in Sunnyvale. Our car wouldn't start intermittently. Mike S was very friendly and took time to explain some of the possibilities and what would be done during the diagnostics. The vehicle was checked over thoroughly and we were sent a breakdown of urgent and non-urgent issues (including photos). They texted updates of the work status. We just picked up the car. Overall, we felt that we were in good hands and the whole process went very smoothly. Prices seemed very reasonable. This was a great find!

I took my 2007 BMW 328i to Stress Free Auto Care to have the driver-side headlight fixed. The car had some electrical issues, and I was aware that it needed a jump-start if it had been sitting for a while. When I arrived, my car wouldn’t start, preventing me from moving it into the garage for service. The mechanic, Mike, asked me to start the vehicle, and when it didn’t turn over, I explained the method I had been using to start it. However, he refused to try my suggestion and insisted that the issue was a faulty starter. Trusting their expertise, I left my car in their care. Not only did they keep it for several days, but when I returned to pick it up—after paying $1,300—the car still wouldn't start. I requested my old starter back for verification, but I have yet to receive any response, which raises serious concerns about whether they even replaced it. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. The lack of transparency, refusal to listen, and failure to properly diagnose the issue suggest either incompetence or dishonesty. At this point, I am strongly considering legal action, as I believe I was scammed. If I could give negative stars, I would. Avoid this place at all costs.
