Great and honest staff! I’ve never felt so happy being in a car mechanic shop before. Felt like they were really looking out for me instead of trying to upcharge me like all the other places. The price was also very fair, mechanics on site really know what they are doing and recommended me great options! Would recommend to friends.

This review is for my recent (2019 Mercedes GLE400) oil change and to circle back to my last (2024 Subaru Crosstrek) oil change 3 months ago. For the Subaru, a week after I changed the oil, I checked the oil level and it was way over filled. It was about an inch and a half past the MAX line. I checked the oil on a level serviced. I called the shop and they said to bring it in. I did and left it with them for a few hours. When I picked up the car, they told me indeed it was over filled and they had to drain some of the extra oil out. It's a good thing I checked. Subaru manual said the engine could be severely damaged if the oil level is overfilled (way overfilled in my case). Imagine if someone that doesn't check their oil level. The engine could be damaged and they would never know why. Fast forward to a week ago. I decided to give the shop another chance. As in the previous review, i stated I walked home 3 miles in the hot sun due to the shop being short handed on Saturday. That's fine. So this time I took a 2019 Mercedes GLE 400 in and got a ride on a Friday. When I picked up the Mercedes, I checked the oil level. It was a little over the max but I was told it's ok. A little should be ok. Then I took the car home and left it in the garage for a week. On Friday, I took the car out and as I was driving, I smelled burned oil in the cabin. I rolled the window down and it was ok. When I got home, I could smell the burned oil again. I popped the hood and looked around the engine . I looked under the car and noticed the bottom plastic carriage has some wetness. I also noticed a small puddle of oil on my garage floor that I didn't noticed before the oil change. I took the car back to the shop. The technician said there are some oil got spilled onto the frame . That's why there is a burned oil smell and explains the puddle on the ground. He explained the drain plug was too close to the frame...like 2 inches. Ok. But how come the other shops didn't spill oil when they did the oil change on this car? Why wasn't the oil cleaned off when it was spilled. As of today, Sunday, there is still a strong burned oil smell after driving the car. I don't know when it will go away. This shop used to be called made in Japan/made in European. I brought in both a Japanese and an European car for a simple oil change. I gave the shop 2 chances. I will likely not returning again.

Jim made the entire experience easy and efficient for me and my Mercedes-Benz. I particularly liked being able to text and receive immediate responses. You don't get that type of customer service from other auto shops. Jim is kind, helpful, and explains everything in detail that I questioned with my car. I highly recommend Jim and Stress-Free Auto Care. I will definitely return!

I’ve brought several different vehicles with several different problems to these guys and not only have they’ve been able to diagnose the problem but been able to fix it in a timely manner. I was a mechanic for years and usually do my own work. I no longer have a place to do anything more than the basic work. And being a mechanic it’s hard for me to trust any auto shop, these guys are pretty straightforward and I don’t say that easily. Thanks stress-free auto for giving a place where I can bring my vehicles and know that I’m getting an honest job…you guys rock!!
