Customer Reviews

We're a Tesla owner since 2017 and have been advocates for company until this past year. If you are considering buying a Tesla and you live in the NYC area I would caution you in doing so, despite the cars being great. Many mechanics and tire shops won't work on them, which makes you beholden to their customer service centers, which have deteriorated remarkably in service, communication, efficiency and execution since we first became owners. Part of our frustration lies in the communication process, that is entirely done over their app. Currently, I've been waiting 3 days to make an appointment at a NJ service center to fix a problem that the Van Brunt dealership told me they couldn't fix, only upon delivering my car there. Part of our frustration lies in the lack of accountability that anyone, including the managers have in actually repairing your car, as the focus appears to be squarely on completing order tickets rather than making sure the car is fixed properly. Part of our frustration also lies in the incompetence we've experienced at the newer Gowanus location, that tore a hole in a brand new tire when putting it on and then accused us of puncturing it ourselves on our 3 mile ride home. They also failed to rebalance our tires properly, as we had to have it done again 2 months later. It's a shame as I really do love our Model S. Our experience with the Tesla service through our first 5 years was outstanding. In 2022, Elon Musk said "I have made it a principle within Tesla that we should never attempt to make servicing a profit center. It does not seem right to me that companies try to make a profit off customers when their product breaks." In 2023 Tesla's gross profits in its "services and other" segment, was around $500 million (according to a search i just did on X's Grok AI). I can speak from my own experience in saying the increase in profit coincides with the deterioration in it's Customer Experience.

I updated two pictures. Number 1 sign has 2 pictures which was happened in Feb, they changed for free, and number 2 which happened recently and same problem with previously it will spread out bigger. And this service manage told me I have to pay by my pocket in full or they can give me 20% discount which I didn’t accept because their Tesla y have windshield problem. I do believe many of Y owner happed same as me. First time is free and why second is not free as same car with same windshield. I will say don’t buy Tesla if you try to buy. If you afford to buy and not for repairs. Just windshield it’s 1500$ plus with long wait and bad manner. I will never buy Tesla again and referring to anyone. I’m so disappointed to own this model Y. Ev is not really better gas car. Look my charging list it’s 250w spot. Sucks.

Today morning i went there for a Safety alert and tire rotation. I was seating there 4 hour. They only fixed my one issues. They charged me for tire rotation but they didn’t do that. When i asked them about tire rotation they said we did this, but i marked my 4 wheel before i go there. Very very dishonest people. They lies all the time. Don’t go there. Charged me $577dollar. Parts only $70 dollar and rest of the money $507 dollar they charged for Labor cost.

It was a fantastic experience! Jose is warm and genuine, and he takes his job seriously. The staff he arranged quickly identified the issue with the car and fixed it, saving us a lot of time.
