We dropped our new car off for an initial 3000 mile inspection at 8:30am, and they told us it would take one hour. Three hours later we asked for an update and they said they weren’t close to being done because of updates they had to do. Our house is 12 miles from the shop so they had their shuttle drop us off 2 miles from our house (they said they can’t go further than 10 miles) so we walked home. At 5pm they said they’d have to keep the car over night. The next morning they said we could pick up the car, but unfortunately never finished the updates the car needed stating they would “have to get Toyota involved to assist them”. This service center is frustrating to work with, and clearly do not care about their customers.

Came in for an oil change waited 5 hours, after I asked again they said they’d do it then the guy went on lunch. Would not recommend and will never come here. I will tell anyone that has a Toyota how much this place sucks.

I called this place for a part. They checked their inventory, told me they had the part. I drove all the way over to the dealership. Once I got there, they went back to get the part and they told me they didn't have it after all. So I got a sorry. They should somehome compensate you with gas money or something... Your time and gas is worth more than just a sorry.

Extremely disappointed! I had scheduled an appointment at 11:15am as per factory recommendation 10,000 miles. I was there at 11am, greeted by Scott Lindsay. He inspected the car, took photos and said your car will be ready by 2pm. I asked as a normal courtesy, why so long. He mentioned, there is a cyber attack on all auto dealers and they are not able to service the car as quickly as they would’ve been on the normal day. I said okay. I said I will wait for the car in the service area. The paperwork said my car will be ready by 2:10pm. It was 1:45pm. I went at the desk and asked him if my car is ready. He said he just checked with the technician and said they are working on my car and will be ready by 2:30pm. I questioned him it’s been almost 3 hrs, why they haven’t finished my car yet. He mentioned they are backed up and will be ready by 2:30pm. I was extremely frustrated at this point having to wait another 30mins. I asked to speak to the manager and said “ya sure he is right around the corner by pointing the finger”. Upon speaking to Daniel Ochoa and explained my issue. He said the staff goes on lunch from 12-1 at the same time, every other excuse that he can think of to tell me it’s not ready yet and it was 2:15pm. I said please if you could please ask the technician, to make sure they can deliver the car by 2:30pm. He went to go ask and came back to tell me that they haven’t even started working on the car. Because of the their goof up. When Mr. Scott Lindsey said they are already working on the car. I was extremely furious, disappointed and frustrated at this point with them. I had to leave with no service done on my car after having to wait 3 hours. I will never go back to your place as this place have no courtesy of their customers and very disrespectful and disorganized.

This place is by Far the worst dealership and service department I have ever dealt with. I tried to explain my issue and the tech cut me off and tried to tell me I had a rodent problem and they would have to redo the electrical system and it was going to be expensive. I asked to talk directly with a tech and he said I couldn't. I should have never left my truck but I did. They called and said it was all fixed a short time later and explained it was a software update. Upon leaving the problem was still there and no change what so ever. Two months later at another Toyota Service department they listened and fixed the issue in no time. Thousand Oaks Toyota has jerked me around since day one. The service manager nor assistant would return any single one of my calls. The one tech Raul called and apologized and said they had problems and very bad service. Raul himself said that had a lack of management. They should really close their service department they are so bad. Everyone of the managers is irresponsible and extremely rude.
