I couldn't begin to describe how appreciative I am of Tom's Auto Clinic. I found myself in Elgin one Monday with a rattle coming from the back of my car. After calling a few other places who couldn't get me in, I finally called Tom's, who was able to take a look at my car immediately. They were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They diagnosed the problem and were able to get parts in that day to fix my car. Great service!

Tom and Jan were great! We are in Austin TX. and bought a car in Elgin. We asked Tom to do an inspection which he did quickly and professionally. He was able to give us clear and valuable information about the vehicle before we purchased it. If we ever move to Chicago or Elgin, they will be the ones working on our car. Thanks Tom!

They quoted me $350 for rotors/pads for the front tires and I went elsewhere for $275. Also, they said my battery tested "fair" and I should replace it and I went to Autozone and Kellenberger and it tested "good". Lastly, I went in after a car accident and I wanted to see what damage I did to my car. They charged me $45 to look at at it for 20 minutes and then told me they don't even do any type of body work. Why the heck would they look at it if they knew they couldn't fix it? He said "Does $45 sound fair", and I should have said "No, because all you told me what that no liquids were leaking". There was literally nothing else they could have even looked at since the hood wouldn't open since the latch was broken from the accident. RIP OFF.

I took all my cars to Tom's when I lived in Elgin for 4 or 5 years. Always did good work with no repeats and just always a real honest shop.
