This shop is on the north-bound side of McGuinness blvd and can be found right before the entrance to the Pulaski bridge. I go here for inspections and when I knew a good mechanic was going to tell me I need a new front tire, he told me I needed a new front tire. $200 and an hour of work which I thought was fair. I knew a good mechanic would tell me I needed rear brake pad replacement this last inspection and that’s what he told me, $80 and 10 mins of work. What other reviewers are saying about the owner’s personality is generally true but if you take it in stride he’s actually pretty funny and most importantly a good mechanic who has reasonable rates.

My kind of place… I’ve been there twice so far, once for an inspection and once to have my carbs synced after I rebuilt them. Mark is a no-nonsense mechanic who does good work and won’t overcharge you. I’ll be back here again.

I own a 2004 beemer that I love very much. Unfortunately, not many independent mechanics have the expertise to fix beemers so I used to take it to BMW Manhattan for repairs before they're closed permanently during pandemic. One night my bike broke down in a busy intersection in LIC. I had to tow it to a BMW shop in NJ, where they replaced the fuel pump but could not fix the rough idling and shaking. They advised me to give up on my bike, saying it was not worth repairing. I was very sad and frustrated, but I decided to give it one more chance. I took it to Triborough Motorcycles in Brooklyn NY, where I met Mark, the owner. He was very kind and helpful. He accepted my bike without an appointment, even though his shop was full. He diagnosed the problems and fixed them in two business days, for a fair price. He also told me that my bike did not need any other services, which showed his honesty and integrity. I was overjoyed when I picked up my bike today. It ran smoothly and beautifully. I realized that I was wrong to think that only certified BMW mechanics could fix beemers. Mark proved to be more knowledgeable and skilled than the ones in NJ. I am very grateful to him. Triborough Motorcycles is now my go-to shop for any bike services.

I guess being an owner gives you the right to be a complete prick to customers. It doesn’t Mark. After coming to this mess you call a shop with bikes strewn all over every inch of the place for well over twelve years for inspections and a few minor repairs, I finally had enough. Enough of the poor attitude. I have no issues with price increases but when they double in price, it’s time to move on. You shouldn’t advertise inspections if you don’t want to perform them. It’s a simple process after all, anyone can do it. And that’s exactly why I recommend you get your inspection and service someplace else.
