Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Centers is a chain of franchise and company-owned automotive service centers. As of March 2018, there were 175 locations in 20 states in the eastern United States. The company was owned by the Tuffy Associates Corporation until 2021 when Mavis Tire, Inc. purchased the franchise. Tuffy was founded in 1970 by Rene F. Campeau as a muffler shop, but later diversified into complete automotive repair and tire service centers.

First time customer in Tuffy. People in Nextdoor app recommended this place often. Alan and the crew didn’t disappoint me. They’re honest, didn’t try to take advantage of situation. I have them inspected my old Tundra, and replaced the front calipers. They can easily told me to replace this and that, but they didn’t. Thank you Alan and the crew.

Alan and his team are amazing. Great quality work at reasonable prices. And, they don't play games and try to upsell you or sell you services you don't need. Honest and fair. This is hard to find in the car repair business in this day and time. I have referred many people to Alan at Tuffys Powell, and everyone agrees with my assessment.

We were traveling to Columbus and had car trouble. We towed our vehicle to Tuffys to have it repaired. They got us in and fixed within a couple of hours since they knew we were out of town. Top notch service and I can’t thank them enough for getting us on the road again. Thank you Alan.

I have been going to Tiffy for over 15 years. While some of the folks have moved around, this remains an honest place to take your vehicle for maintenance and repairs. They are quite busy so call ahead.

My dealership told me that parts + labor to fix my broken taillight would come to $450. I looked on the Columbus subreddit to find an honest mechanic as an alternative, and found repeated glowing reviews of Alan at the Smoky Row Tuffy and called him and explained my situation. Long story short, he made everything as easy for me every step of the way as humanly possible and as inexpensive as possible, and thanks to him, I saved piles of money. I live nowhere near Powell, but he is my new go-to mechanic of choice.
