V.B Auto Truck & Diesel Repair

I was on my way to Pacific Grove from Orange County when my car broke down on the 46. As a woman traveling alone, I was stressed, but these guys were perfect gentlemen. They were professional and kind. It was a busted coil which they fixed in 1.5 to 2 hours, and they had to order the part, so that includes the wait time for the part. They didn't overcharge me. I know this because I just had one coil replaced with my regular mechanic, and it was less expensive at VB. I was prepared for the typical upsell, but nope. They were awesome. Also, Vidal said his mother is opening a restaurant across the street. Everyone should check it out. These are good, honest people who don't take advantage of those in a desperate situation. We had issues with the suspension on our 5th wheel RV that we noticed as we were traveling from Sacramento to Palmdale. I called a few places, and even had guys hang up on me because they couldn’t understand my problem. Vidal answered and immediately new what my issue was and said he could get us back on the road. So we limped into VB Auto and he found the parts we needed. He was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with. He knows what he’s talking about and doesn’t make you feel dumb for asking questions. Thank you!! We got to our destination safely and without any further issues.

We were stranded, 3 hrs from home, when the transmission started to leak ATF. After starting a AAA tow, we decided to wait until VB Auto opened in the morning. And we are glad we made this decision. Saturday morning, when we called, he took the time to diagnose what he thought the problem was, what he thought he would find and what the repair would entail. While ultimately we went ahead with the tow, due to the 3 hour drive, both of us were convinced that VB Auto would have done a great job and we were prepared to leave the truck for a week to get the work done there. Neither of us would hesitate taking our truck to VB Auto for servicing.

He could have easily taken advantage of us. We were at his mercy with a broken down rv. Instead, he went out of his way to get our repair done quickly, and it was 10x cheaper than we expected. Vidal is prince! Highly recommend.

My car’s engine light started flashing during our trip from SF to LA and this was the only car mechanic shop within 1hr we could find. They usually don’t work Saturdays but I called and they said to come in — they were in the shop for another job anyways. I drove in and service was very prompt and they were super friendly and helpful. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially compared to SF prices. We were back on the road within a couple hours!
