Vargas Auto Upholstery

I needed a repair for the vinyl upholstery on my car’s driver side seat. I sent a photo to them, they gave me a quick and reasonable quote and my boyfriend brought the car in the next day. He said they were very pleasant to work with. The color doesn’t perfectly match but I’d specifically told them that doesn’t matter much to me, and this vinyl feels sturdier than what came on the Outback. It’s been a few months and the repair is holding up great!

I can’t recommend Vargas Auto Upholstery enough. We were on a hunt to modify our Ford work van. We needed a second row and a center console with organizer installed. Called a lot of locations but were told they did not provide services we needed. Vargas Auto Upholstery was recommended to us by a friend. Drove down there spoke to Luis and YES! he was able to help us with our modifications. He is super passionate about his job. He went into depth with project. Second row was installed. Center console was installed. Luis also installed fabric to cover exposed metal. Such a great job. Our van looks so great. Super detailed oriented. He does so much more than just cars. I seen he was working on some chairs. I asked if he can make a replacement canopy for our outdoor swing. He said YES! Got that done too. Looks great

I wish I could leave a more positive review because they seem like good guys that do good work. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience. I brought my seat in that needed the leather on the bolster replaced. I decided on a leather that matched the grain of my seats and I left a $200 deposit. Later, when I brought in my seat, they informed me that the leather was back ordered with no estimated ship date. So, I left and went to another upholstery shop. That shop had a leather in stock that matched perfectly. So, I went back to Vargas Upholstery to pick up my seat and get my deposit back. However, they refused to refund the entire deposit. They said that I had to pay for their time even though they hadn't ordered any material. It's shady business practice to not refund my deposit because I decided to use a different shop, especially when the material I want is on back order with no estimated ship date. They also never mentioned that the deposit wasn't refundable when I made the deposit.

I ordered a carpet kit for my 1969 Z/28 Camaro. I took the kit to Vargas for installation. They suggested I add a padding under the carpet for an additional charge. I agreed to use the padding and I'm glad I did. One day turn around. The whole interior looks like a brand new car with just a carpet change. Excellent work. Same day service. It was expensive but worth every penny for my classic muscle car. VERY PLEASED!
