Velasquez Performance Exhaust

I shopped three places and as always Velazquez has best pricing. Not sure why it's listed as Brakes for Less but it's definitely got Velazquez signage. My car was fixed pretty quickly after troubleshooting, got brakes and rotors, tire rotation and a headlight and taillight fixed. They only take cash, no debit cards so be aware. They did the work faster and cheaper than anyone around. Definitely will go back.

These guys are amazing. They own shops all over Chicagoland. They do it all. Back when I was a broke college kid I used to get used tires from here for like $30 mounted and balanced with 60% tread left. They do exhaust work faster and cheaper than anywhere I've been in Chicagoland. I was blown away by the service they just gave me. I came in for brake work. The parts people sent over the wrong part. While we were forced to wait for the parts the head honcho here called down the street to the Velasquez exhaust shop and had one of the mechanics down there come and fix an exhaust leak on my 5.4 F-150!! It's just a matter of tightening down a couple bolts, and it's a common issue for this generation F150. Doesn't fix the issue entirely, but definitely makes the truck run quieter. They did this free of charge without even mentioning it. Just one of those little tweaks that a mechanic can make that takes them almost no time but makes the world of difference in the trucks performance. And it wasn't until starting it up the next morning that I even realized that they had done this for me. Very cool people that take care of their customers! Thank you Velazquez!

Great low prices compared to other places. They also let you buy your own parts and just pay labor cost. One of the few places oil changes are under $30.00 without having employees try an talk to you for more expensive one's. Spanish definitely helps to be clear with mechanics who do a great job.

So I have extensive history with this place. Angel and his crew has messed up on 2 of my vehicles. Now they owe me over $400 (probably closer to $700) and instead of refunding my money, Angel says I have a credit. So today I ask to use my credit, he tells me that my credit is only good for OIL CHANGES. That's right! I requested the owner call me and and Angel says that's not possible and I can take him to court. Yep, court! The fact that I have given him so much business over the years, trusted him with my car and my children's cars and he would treat me like this? He never could even fix the timing chain on one vehicle (that's how I ended up with the "credit" in the first place). I feel ROBBED. Basically, avoid this place at ALL COST. Angel, you're no better than a thief! Now my car is at a REAL shop with REAL professionals and IF you have done something to it (since you had it overnight) I WILL see you in court. Run away from this place! RUN FAST!
