Really great and friendly. Called shop on the phone explained to them my situation that my car is having and instantly said bring the vehicle in and we’ll get you right. Right away i received a call on what the problem might be and they tackled it and fixed it. If you need help on your vehicle would strongly recommend them! And yes they do work on slammed vehicles.

On December 22, 2023, I brought my 2021 Kia forte in for a transmission fluid change. Even though the price seemed a bit high at almost $300, I decided to go ahead with the fluid change. I had previously brought my Ford there for quite a few years when I first moved to San Diego in 2018. A few days after the fluid exchange,, I was traveling down the freeway on 78 W., when a very loud noise came from under my car. I pulled over at the very first exit available. Pulled over, inspected the car and saw that the under carriage shield beneath the engine compartment was dragging on the ground. I took it to the closest auto repair shop nearby, Niko‘s, they were kind enough to take the car in and put it up on the lift immediately. After inspection, they said there was only one screw holding the cover on. I explained the situation that I had just had the transmission fluid changed. They said whoever put the cover back on didn’t put all of the screws back in to replace the cover. They were kind enough to fix it that same afternoon. I called West Escondido Automotive at the time of the incident. They asked me to bring it back to West Escondido Automotive for inspection. I laughed, I couldn’t drive this thing any further. It had to be fixed on the spot. As if I have time to take another day off of work, so that they can look at their own mistake. The service manager, Niko, who owns the shop spoke to the person at West Escondido Automotive. The person at West Escondido Automotive, who I spoke to accused me of having done something to my car. All I did was drive it after they changed the transmission fluid a couple days prior. They claimed that it would be impossible for one of their employees to have made this mistake. The truth is, the techs are paid per service, They are often enticed to rush through the work, not giving it that special care that they should at those prices!. If I treated my career that way, I would be fired. And the lack of customer support, please! I’ve been a loyal customer to them for a long time. Never again while I come to this shop. I can’t believe the way I was talk to on the phone. And because of their lack of quality control, their $300 transmission fluid exchange cost me over $400 and miss half a day of work! Nice way to run a business!

I absolutely loved my experience here! I had a check engine light with two codes, and they fixed it within two days. Dylan at the front desk was very nice, professional, and informative. The link they sent afterward with all the reccomentions after performing a complimentary inspection was very helpful. I never want to go to another mechanic shop ever again.

Had a great Experience at West Automotive. I purchased a used car, Initially I made an appointment for an oil change, and I had seen the free multi-point inspection included with any service/Maintenance on their website. They were Happy to honor that. I had some concerns about the car, when i took it in. When I purchased the car, I did not realize that it had No coolant in the reservoir. I communicated with Dylan and William about the situation, and luckily we were able to Discuss the concerns and move forward with a plan. So, I approved a block test for any head gasket leak and a coolant flush afterwards. Indeed, I received great news, and the Engine passed the test. My utmost respect and Gratitude for the Team at West Automotive! Looking forward to setting up a transmission service(Fluid Change) Soon!

Yellow Teeth dumpTruck manager has Zero customer service and support. Using profanity and disrespectful behavior towards me to describe an issue bout being there for 20 something years and he’s seen it all. I took my vehicle in for a simple alignment and the technicians damaged one rim, not all four, but one rim. I showed him, he cussed at me and threatened me, I appreciate the two other gentlemen that were there to help de-escalate the issue. I would not recommend coming to West automotive based on my experience. They were also lying about repairs that need to be done as my vehicle has already been inspected by a technician. This is not an honest place to take your vehicle for repairs/services. I tried reaching out for additional support, and it was not taking seriously, therefore I’m leaving this review, and I would not recommend this place!
