BAIT and SWITCH Will never recommend them to anyone Lied about diagnostic cost over the phone calling back after saying they ran the first diagnostic which I was unaware there were more than one and now more diagnostic testing needed once they already had the car I had to tow to them. That cost went from $150 to $400 just for a diagnostic. They should be more transparent with this information when someone calls asking for cost of a diagnostic. Then quotes me over 6k for a transmission and all that it intels telling me no one else can do it for cheaper and if they did it wouldn’t be legal Then when I went to go into the office to pay for the outrageous diagnostics price hike and was speaking to them letting them know to please let future people know of the full cost of a diagnostic over the phone before they bring their car in. He completely ignored my suggestion and all he wanted to do was speak about how long he’s been in business and how this is how all shops work and how I don’t understand. I was simply trying to suggest and he went on and on about himself and how I don’t know how mechanic shops work. Horrible customer service as well.

The folks at West Auto Group did an excellent job servicing my 2008Toyota Tacoma truck. The services were explained clearly, and further necessary work was also explained and sent to my email. Dalton gave me a printed copy of the estimate. I very much appreciated Sebastian's shuttle service that took me home and picked me up during the service. Johnny gave me a printed copy of the work order and closed out the service. A special thank you to the mechanics too! All the folks were very professional, kind and courteous. Also, the cost of the service was reasonable and fair. The AAA discount helped. Overall, great experience. Highly recommended. I look forward to having my vehicle serviced by West Automotive Group. I bought new tires at Discount Tires but was told I needed an alignment by dealer plus I felt like it was probably best for the tires. I wish I'd returned to the dealer for the alignment. Dropped off the car at 10a. Got driven home cause it was going to be a while. Better than 4h later, "our machine is busted, we need to take it to Kearney Mesa". Nearly 6h, plus a quarter tank of gas and all I got was sorry. Time is money and gas isn't cheap. Should have been offered a discount or topped off my gas. I won't be going back or recommend them. I dropped them down because of their lies. They didn't call until 230. You've had my car for 4 hours, I want it done. Today is the 1st day I've driven more than a couple miles and it pulls left. I'm going to have to take it to the dealer like I should have done to start with.

I brought my car to West Automotive Group for what I thought was a bad alternator. They diagnosed it as a bad battery, replaced it, and sent me on my way. A few days later, my car still had issues, so I returned, and they finally confirmed it was the alternator all along. During this process, they broke my key fob and blamed me for bringing it in broken—which wasn’t true. They also tried to upsell unnecessary services, recommending a transmission fluid change that had already been done 7,000 miles prior. I had it double checked with the guys at Valvoline after I was told this, and they found no issues. West Automotive Group also suggested replacing brake pads at 5mm (front) and 8mm (back)—hardly urgent. This shop seems more interested in adding unnecessary costs than providing reliable service, and they didn’t respect my property. I won’t be back.

I recently had my car serviced here for an emissions system issue, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The team was incredibly kind, quick, and efficient. Johnny, the tech who worked with me, was particularly helpful. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood the repairs needed. The pricing was fair, and there were no surprises when it came time to pay. It was a straightforward, stress-free process from start to finish.
