Wondries Toyota Service Department

I hate to share negative reviews but I need everyone to be aware of my experience here. Since I got my car back in 2020, I’ve been going to this service department in Alhambra and hadn’t had a problem with the service or quality of service done to my car, until this year. I had two incidents this year where the service department messed up. The first time, they were able to fix it, service rep was kind, offered multiple options. This last time was completely terrible. I went in to have my cars oil and brakes changed, nothing else. Gordon offered the multi point inspection and said it could take a while. They had my car for 3 hours. 3 hours for what? Oil changed, I hope so. Brakes changed, no “they were still okay”. Before leaving the tire pressure light was on. Sometimes my car will have it on and will go away when I’m driving so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I started to feel like something was off though. My steering wheel was going off to the right side. I had to push my wheel back to the left side for it to drive normally. Until ultimately, the tire just gave out. All these big red flags and the service department is not at fault? I had never had a tire pop. A flat tire, yes. A flat tire due to a nail, yes. Never have I ever had my entire tire POP. I wasn’t even 5 min away from the dealership when my entire front right tire popped. I was absolutely terrified and enraged. Wouldn’t you think if you brought your car in, they would’ve checked tire pressure? Weren’t they suppose to do a multi-point inspection? Wouldn’t you think they’d give you heads up about a nail in your tire? After having it for 3 hours? The service department manager swore up and down this was because of a nail. It was not just because of a nail. They filled up the tire way past its limit. They were negligent. They simply were not doing their job. They replaced my tire but only because I have an insurance package. If not, they were already trying to charge me for their own mistake. And for the cherry on top, while I was trying to figure out what to do, Gordon was no where to be found. He went completely MIA after leaving me a voicemail that my car was ready… He didn’t come back out until I was back at the service department speaking to his supervisor. I’m never going back here and I don’t think anyone’s mother, daughter or wife should come here. I would hate for anyone to experience this ALONE or let alone with their child.

Service consultant Danny Llamas did not give me a receipt on initial talk and did not mention he could leave of left my keys with the receptionist. Service center will keep your car overnight and not let you know you can ask for a late pick up. Keep in mind service closes at 6p and I arrived by 6:15p. Not so late. Tied calling several times close to 6 but no answer. Sales tried to help but no luck and turned me away.

This review is for Service Dept. Nelson S was helping me for first time & it was a great service . Professional, honest & helpful from the beginning. Appreciated the help. All the staffs seems helpful too.

Went in with a coupon for a service and was immediately suggested a list of things with little explanation for a quote of $2k of services to my perfectly running Prius. This is the second time I've been upsold with very little explanation on things before my car was even viewed. Ended up being convinced to service my hybrid system and get the bare minimum oil change. Then, at pickup, I noticed my car seat mirror was wonky and realized they'd moved my car seat. Luckily, they'd put it in the wrong seat, so I realized it had been uninstalled because they'd put it back completely loose, which would have been very dangerous if I'd loaded my baby back in as they'd installed it. Mess with my budget - fine. Mess with the safety of my baby - never ever again!

A Servicemen tried charging my Dad for a part that his bumper to bumper insurance covers. After speaking with the manager, the manager honored the insurance but with an attitude like if he was doing us a favor.
