Express Auto Spa - Toms River

Took my truck to get washed. Side driver mirror cover comes off in the process of it being washed. Employees attempted to re-clip it, but were unsuccessful. An African American employee informed me that I can get it fixed and they would reimburse me. Took my vehicle to the dealership for further inspection. 2 service technicians attempted to re-clip and were unsuccessful due to missing clips and screws caused by damage on front and rear end of cover assembly. Whole mirror assembly needs to be replaced. Asked for a quote for service parts and repair of work and it came out to $562.97. Went back to car wash to inform manager, Timothy, who proceeded to tell me if the damage was estimated up to $40.00 then they would have covered it, but nothing to that extend. He then proceeded to tell me that because I was driving a “Chevy” that’s why it happened. I wasn’t aware that Tim was an expert in vehicle brand manufacturing, guy should hold a high end corporate job in vehicle engineering instead. My truck has been washed here multiple times before and never had an issue until today. A $33.00 dollar car wash turned into an almost $600 fix.

I started a monthly membership in June after getting a new car. The first four months were great but then in October they weren’t vacuuming my hatchback.(CRV). I let it go the first time but second time called and left voicemail, no return phone call. The problem continued I sent an email after asking to speak to manager( young lady) couldn’t find manager). She did again give me phone number and email. Left another message no response and send email with no response. The last and final time attendant ( language barrier) was trying to say something about dealer and not being my car- don’t waste your time. Cancelled my membership through credit card company as no one ever responds. Don’t waste your time or money! Not worth the aggravation!! Really went downhill!

Tried to tell me I needed "special" oil and filter for my truck. Looked to charge 150 for a basic oil change. Sign shows pricing, and per quart additional. My truck takes dexos, fully synthetic and an ac Delco p66 oil filter. 80-100 is typical for these. The dealership charges less than 100. I would not recommend these guys as they don't seem honest.

In line at 2 pm. They now have full service and exterior only lines. Problem is they all feed in to one and they run the exterior cars first. After waiting 12 minutes and only going 4 car lengths I turned thru the oil change area. Guy out and spoke to a manager. That’s the way they do it now. Not for me. At the rate the exterior line was going but would have taken an hour for me to get thru. I understand what they are trying to do but my $35 wash can wait vs the $15. The oil change line is gone now too and because it’s clogged with full service cars they must be losing traffic as well. Went to Prestige. Line was moving. 30 minutes total. 25 years at same car wash, never again
