LA Express Car Wash

I’ve been coming here for several years and never had an issue, and wanted to share a recent great experience I had. This week I *thought* my new car had been damaged when going through the wash. The manager Angel and Jose were incredibly patient with me, heard my concerns, and (without me asking) took me into the office to show me the cameras to show me my car before going into the wash to confirm the damage had been there prior to entering the wash. They even offered their detail guy to try to help fix some of the damage for no charge even though it was no fault of theirs, and gave me another recommendation for a detail service down the street if I wanted. I’m super appreciative of their kindness, honesty and excellent customer service. Thank you again, Angel and Jose!

It didn't wash my truck. I had to clean the dirt off my truck with a rag, waste of money. They had me go threw it again and still didn't do anything except take paint off my truck. And the water smells like Sewage water, the machine dosent spin it just drags across your car so they never get clean, the spinning cleans the brushes so if there is any dirt on them it's scratching your paint. Also they have a special 3 months unlimited for $100 but if you go to luvs car wash it's $22 a month for unlimited with towels. This place rips you off and wrecks your paint! Also the guy that pre washes your car before going in the wash has a big staring problem he would stair at my under age son while brushing the car... so strange. Chomo most likly!

Quick and efficient car wash! There’s generally a line on the weekends, but it moves quickly. There are three pay stations when you drive to the front of the line, there’s a staff member that helps you, but the machine is pretty intuitive and easy to use. When you drive up to the wash, two staff members help you line up your car on the belt, they hose your car down, and close your rear view mirrors for you. The wash I go for is $15 and you can vacuum your car for free; keep in mind, during the weekends you may have to wait to get a spot to vacuum.

My car was damaged while in the car wash, and we were bullied and blamed by the manager Angel. He argued that because I took off my seatbelt while in the wash, my car went into park, and thus stopped moving on the tracks. This caused the car behind me to run into my rear bumper. Yet if this is the case, why isn't there a warning posted before entering the wash? He refused to take any responsibility. The experience showed this business's dark and sleazy underbelly, one that I was very sad to experience in the great neighborhood of Silver Lake.

WARNING: Do NOT take your car here unless you want your car to get damaged!!! I've been coming to this car wash for awhile, but came back in Aug for a routine wash and their machines completely knocked off the cover of my rear view mirror. I didn't notice it until I drove away and when I came right back to let the employees know, they were kind and took my number and told me they would call me if they found the piece. They confirmed that they saw on the video footage that the piece had indeed gone missing during my time in their machines. I asked if I should report it to insurance but they reassured me several times that even if they didn't find the piece, they would have their mechanic fix it at no cost to me. I never got a phone call from them so I came back the next day to check on the status. They told me they hadn't found it and sent me an address to their "mechanic" and told me to tell him they sent me. The mechanic was a bit sketchy and not in the best area of Echo Park, but whatever I wanted my car fixed. The first thing the mechanic said when I told him the car wash sent me was "Again?!? If this keeps happening they're gonna go out of business" He told me this has been happening A LOT. He surveyed the damage and took my number and told me he'd call me once the piece came in. A week and a half later he never called so I texted him. He had the audacity to ask me if I could buy the piece myself bc he didn't know how to get it. I humored him and did some research and sent him some links a few days later. No response. I followed up a few more times. No response. Overall, this car wash is shady. They deal with shady "mechanics" who will NOT fix your car after they damaged it. After almost 2 months of chasing this guy around I finally went somewhere else and paid out of pocket. In conclusion a $20 car wash is NOT worth the hundreds of dollars of damage they will do to your car. DO NOT GO HERE.
