Southbay Shell Carwash

This is a pretty good carwash it's quick it's easy it's not too too expensive which is nice. It is pretty popular so sometimes there's a bit of a line to use it and also the vacuum stations can be full sometimes but it's okay people move on pretty quick. The only thing that really annoys me about this wash is the vacuums are pretty weak and don't clean that well at all but they are free to use unlike some other ones I've been to were you have to pay extra.

The staff were rude and confrontational here and when I specifically asked about an air machine while paying for gas they told me it was $1 in quarters only to have it ready, then I get to the machine and it says by California law it has to be offered free if getting gas ... I was shocked at how they treated me because I told them I was from out of town ... the manager had his back facing me and when I was asking the employee at the counter questions, the manager was answering me without even turning around and telling me to call shell and complain if I didn't like it that it was their company policy and not his problem or purpose to explain things to me that I should have looked it up before I came to California ... very behavior and first rude people we met our entire visit to california ... lucky it was on our way to the airport so it didn't sully our trip ...

Terrible Customer Service. The express car wash broke down while I was in the middle of the wash. The attendant made me roll down my window to yell at me to drive out, at which point the car wash towel slapped me in the face with old dirty chemical water. The manager refused to refund my car wash and told me his boss was on vacation so I couldn’t contact them. Hopefully my eye is ok. Absolutely unprofessional management, super disappointed. Good luck and god speed at this place, god forbid anything dangerous or bad happens to you.

Went through the car wash paid for too level. My car was still dirty and the “ceramic” coating is a hoax. I asked to run my car again, and the attendant refused sent me to car mart manager, after I showed him my hands were dirty from touching my car, said “this is a machine car was, it doesn’t clean car” . What a frickin’ joke don’t waste your money folks.

Just paid $16 for their premium "tsunami" car wash. Not only is my car not close to being clean, now it has water spots all over it because the dryers are so poor. I would have been better off spraying it with a garden hose for 10 seconds and driving down the street. I'd save the money and go to another place.
