25th Street Sunoco Introduce

25th Street Sunoco is located at 201 S Wood Ave, Easton, PA 18042, serving local users within the 'Nearby Gas Stations' category. You can contact them at (610) 250-9322 or +1 610-250-9322.

Based on customer reviews, this 25th Street Sunoco location is praised for its excellent customer service, but also has significant concerns regarding a large, unauthorized credit card hold when pumping gas.

One customer praised the friendly staff and atmosphere, stating, "I come here all the time, both Morning and night. In the morning for my coffee & lotto and the two guys working are always welcoming. In the evening and night to play the machines and the music that the one guy’s always got playing (which FYI, KILLER taste in music my man). I wish I knew their names so I can call them out, but bottom line, EXCELLENT customer service from all of them. 👏🙏" This highlights the consistently friendly and welcoming staff and the enjoyable atmosphere.

However, another customer reported a serious financial concern, stating, "DON'T USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE!!! They put a hold on your account if you pump gas. $126.00 no matter how much you pump." This highlights a significant concern about a large, unauthorized credit card hold.

An edit to that review added, "Edit: In response to the owner below me, that is a LIE!!! I talked to PNC, they have no control over how much YOU charge the card. What you're doing is illegal without getting authorization for a hold from the customer first. But don't worry, the CFPB will be giving you a call to discuss things." This escalates the issue, alleging illegal activity and a planned complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

These reviews highlight a stark contrast, with excellent customer service alongside serious financial concerns.

It is reasonable to assume that 25th Street Sunoco provides standard gas station services, including:

  • Fuel (various grades of gasoline)
  • Convenience store items (coffee, lotto)
  • Gaming machines
  • Excellent customer service
  • Potential for a $126.00 unauthorized credit card hold when pumping gas

Potential customers should be extremely cautious when using a credit card at this 25th Street Sunoco location. The reported unauthorized credit card hold is a significant concern. The excellent customer service is a positive aspect, but the financial risks may outweigh the benefits. Customers should consider using cash or paying inside to avoid potential issues.

Beware if you use this gas station to refill your propane tanks make sure they weigh your propane tank prior to filling and after filling it to make sure your only charged for the amount of propane they put into the tank and you're not getting overcharged. for quite a while they were charging customers for a full tank of propane with every customer that walked in the door. I believe it was last year the new owners took over that Station. When I said something to the cashier she had noticed the same thing when the receipts were coming in it was all for full refills on every tank. she told me to talk to the manager so I did get some money refunded but when they're not weighing the tanks prior to filling them that's just bad practice and screwing your customers over.

Do NOT patronize this dump. They have a sign stating “no restrooms”, which is illegal. Per the building code, commercial establishments must have restrooms. Take your business elsewhere.

I purchased a propane tank "new" from this establishment (location across the street from Taco Bell, right off Route 22). My brand new Weber grill was not breaking over 340F degrees over the weekend. After a thorough check of the grill, everything was fine. I put their tank on: still not breaking 340F . I borrowed a neighbors propane tank and BOOM: right up to 500 degrees. Currently, I am sending out my marked tank for testing of what gas their "re-fill" station is putting out as appears NOT TRUE PROPANE! this is NOT the grill. Again, having what they are selling tested as NOT BURNING HOT!
