Beacon Gulf

Gulf has the cheapest gas around on a consistent basis. The deli inside has a grumpy guy making breakfast sandwiches, but they are really good! Cashiers are always friendly. A very convenient location with a large lot.

Pump number 3 is broken. I put gas in my car there on 11/21. The pump didn’t close and all the gasoline starting spilling all over my car. I told the guy in the store and he said it is my fault and that I have an air in my tank. He was anxious and definitely knew what I am talking about but tried to act like he doesn’t. Honestly if he could apologize and say we will check the pump that would be a different experience. But he blamed me and no interest in repairing that pump was expressed. Do not trust these people.

I gave this place a fair chance after new ownership and went exclusively here over the ownership of 3 different cars and combined 90K miles. Fair weather fuel is ok like the frugal price of filling up however when the additives go in (when it gets cold outside) you can expect uncleanable fuel injectors, rich burning engine cylinders and stuttering (when car cannot effectively fuel manage), head gasket failures, and variable cylinder management issues (initial loss of MPG). You better have an engine warranty. On my last vehicle the spark plug could not be removed from the engine because it was so clogged up in there. Initially you'll notice a drop in mile per gallon ranging from 2-6MPG depending on what season it is. The major problems on vehicles appeared after continued use 20-40k Miles. I'd go back if they improved the fuel and would pay more for fuel here because it is in a really convenient location with nice people working. Sometimes you get that good tank in the summer on a Wednesday that feels like Red Bull(it gives you wings) when your injectors are clogged. Recently, Do not be fooled by the Shell V Power electronic price readers its not a shell as of 01DEC2023. FYI 90K miles worth of maintenance on bad fuel is worth about $10000 without an engine warranty.

I go frequently to this gas station.The owners and other workers are super friendly. I know all of them by their first names. The breakfast and coffee is pretty good too. Clean overall. Gas prices are somewhat comparable to the others in the area. Sometimes slightly cheaper.
