Dishonest repair shop. They said my wife needed new brakes ($1700) to pass inspection. We said no and took it to Joe's Garage in Southampton. It passed inspection with no additional work. They also told us that a full brake job would be $1200. Avoid these crooks.

Guillermo was leaving for the day and saw me at the Air Machine. He stopped his car and jumped out to help me and actually found a nail in my tire. With out missing a beat he patched my tire and checked the other three. Not knowing there was a nail I would have wound up with a flat on the side if the highway. The owner of this station should be proud to have an amazingly kind hardworking person working for them.

Don't use repair service at this station. I brought my car in with a slow leak in one tire. They repaired the tire immediately on a Saturday. The tire went flat overnight. I brought the car back and was told the tire was bad and needed to be replaced. I suggested that maybe it wasn't the tire but a cracked rim. I agreed to replace the tire because Edgar told me it was the tire not the rim. I waited two full days (instead of the one I was assured). After the new tire was replaced it had the same slow leak which I found out driving on the LIE. I took the car to the dealer and was told it was a cracked rim. Edgar doesn't know what he's doing and the premium for the convenience isn't worth it. He argued with me and overcharged for the tire.

I believe I have a story that will top all others! I brought my 2 year old car in to Edgar for an inspection. When I returned he said it failed because it needed new brakes which would cost upwards of $500. I found that hard to believe so I took that failure notice and brought it in somewhere else (without mentioning that it had failed) and the car passed no problem. About a month later I brought my car in to the dealer for service and asked them to look the entire car over. I again did not mention the breaks because I wanted to see if they would come to the same conclusion as Edgar. When I picked up my car the service bill was for the oil change and fluid refills only. I started to ask if they had happened to look at the brakes and the technician said, " Hey Lady, whoever did your last inspection is a scammer. I came across the failed slip in your glove compartment when we were looking for your manual. I went back to take another look at your brakes and THEY ARE FINE!!" EDGAR is a crook and should be put out of business! I wish I could give 0 stars!
