Mobil Introduce

Mobil is a convenient and reliable stop for travelers and locals alike. Situated at 6000 Shore Pkwy in Brooklyn, NY, Mobil serves as an essential fueling point for those navigating the Belt Parkway. Known for its quick service, Mobil provides gasoline and diesel to keep you moving along the highway. The station also offers a small convenience store with snacks, beverages, and other basic items to satisfy your needs while on the go.

One of the standout features of Mobil is its location directly on the Belt Parkway, making it an ideal stop for travelers who need fuel or a quick break without leaving the highway. However, customers have noted that the gas prices can be higher than average, so it’s best to compare prices before filling up. Despite this, many visitors find it a lifesaver when they’re in urgent need of fuel or restrooms.

Mobil also features restrooms for public use, though reviews indicate that these facilities are not always clean and may require attention. For those passing through in need of an emergency stop, Mobil can be a useful option but is recommended only if absolutely necessary.

  • Location: 6000 Shore Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11234

  • Bathrooms available (but may need maintenance)

Mobil is particularly convenient for drivers who are caught in traffic or need a quick stop without leaving the highway. While prices may be higher than other stations, its strategic location makes it a necessary option for some.

Customer Feedback Summary:
  • Pros:
  • A reliable spot for emergency fueling on the Belt Parkway
  • Convenient location directly on the highway
  • Cons:
  • Pricier than other gas stations

Mobil is an essential stop for drivers in a pinch but may not be the best option for those with time to shop around for cheaper fuel. Its location on the Belt Parkway makes it a useful resource for travelers, even if its amenities are limited.

Typical highway gas station. Only smaller. They charge about 35 cents a gallon more than you would pay normally, but if you need gas and you’re on the Belt you are a captive audience. Use their bathrooms only if you really can’t hold it in. They are not pleasant.

We felt that the gas is slightly overpriced. The bathrooms are not clean and could use some maintenance. Other than that, a great place for a quick stop on Belt Parkway for emergency purposes.

You can stop to fill up your tank but do not stop to use a restroom there

The card readers were not working at the pumps, so I went inside to pay for my gas. I told the attendant that I wanted $20.00 on pump 8. He asked if I said $25.00, and I clarified and said no I said $20.00. I paid and went back to my car to pump the gas. I was not able to select the grade and the screen read "wait a moment" for a few minutes, so I went back in to ask for assistance. When I told the attendant that I wasn't able to pump the gas, he ruffled through an envelope of receipts and pulled out mine and said, I thought you said you were on pump 6. I stated that I never said 6, I said pump 8. He began to insinuate that I told him the wrong pump number, which I did not. I asked for a refund and he refused, saying that I paid for someone else's gas and would have to put $20.00 on pump 8. I told him that I wasn't going to pay for his mistake to which he said I would have to if I wanted the gas. At this point, I let a young man go ahead of me to pay for his gas. He handed the money to the attendant, told him pump 5, and began walking back to his car. The attendant asks him to repeat which pump he wanted, but the young man was halfway out the door and didn't hear him. I had to flag him to come back so that he could repeat to the attendant what the number was. Had I not, the attendant would have probably made another mistake on that pump number as well. Another employee got involved and told the attendant to ask the manager to honor a refund for me. In the end, I was able to get the gas I had originally paid for. I am very disappointed in this attendant's customer service. Instead of placing blame on me, he should have taken responsibility for typing the wrong pump number. This whole ordeal could have been avoided if the card readers were working. I do not plan on returning to this gas station ever again, but I hope that the card reader issue is fixed for future customers.
