Route 26 Mart

Drove up from Denver the morning of the eclipse. Stopped at this spot, gassed up the car, ate good food, and watched the totality with the employees. They were extremely friendly, had a great time. Thanks route 26!

They have the best sandwiches in the area, with real, fresh, quality ingredients, and nice crusty bread. This place was recently remodeled under a new owner, and it has greatly improved. This is not fast food, and the wait can be long, so plan ahead. But today, I had my sandwich in under 5 minutes, so I was well-pleased. They have a great funky 50s decor and always have oldies playing on the radio.

I think it is one of the coolest places in town for a convenience store. with the really way cool convertible Cadillac on the roof. It needs a make over and a paint job though. The sub shop deli and Ice Cream counter is awesome and just, so quaint. Great food, good friends, a little wear and tear on it through the years, but it is a sure fire landmark and one of Scottsbluff, Nebraska's cherished Icons.

Building is outdated, inadequate facilities. A thorough inspection would likely reveal several building code violations. The surrounding property itself is covered in filth. Having a grimey feel to it, the land is strewn with refuse of all sorts. The area has an unpleasant smell, a rotten aroma you can almost taste. Very difficult location to stomach. "Service" is not a word you would use in any statement about the business, or the tenants currently operating here. If one must endure an encounter with this establishment, it would be wise to prepare for a painful experience. The uncouth individuals you will find within are quite alarming, and the lack of competency makes one wonder how these people (of such crude manner) have kept the building from collapsing during their tenure. Overall, an unfortunate stain on the otherwise beautiful state of Nebraska.

The single, unisex restroom was filthy, as was the soda counter. I will never use the facilities again.
