He scammed us.we told him $20 and he fill up the tank and it was almost $80!!! He is a good scammer!!

I will never patronize this station again. I pulled in today to see the attendant cleaning the customers windows while they received gas. I was pleasantly surprised they offered full service, not usually seen at many stations anymore. I pulled to the pump, he approached my car after a few minutes as he finished the customers windows. He never greeted me, no biggie, but he asked how much. I handed him my card and asked him to fill my tank. He inserted the nozzle and walked away to the next customer. Surprised he didn’t start in my windows, I patiently waited and watched his next move. He started cleaning the windows to that vehicle. He finished and proceeds to the next customer. Puts the nozzle in her vehicle and walks away from her. Interesting. I notice she looks like me but the other customers are Caucasian. He comes back to my car, takes the nozzle out and hands me card. He starts to walk away and I request he clean my windows. He gives me the one minute hand signal as he walks away to service another customer all the while looking at my windows and mumbling. He does come back after a few minutes and cleans my front windshield. He finishes and turns to walk away putting the squeegee away. I say, can you do the back window also. He says I’m busy. Now I let him know I see apparently he’s only busy for certain customers, the black customers. The others didn’t even have to ask. Amazingly but not surprisingly, this attendant with darker skin than mine, is clearly prejudiced. This Citgo won’t see any more of my black dollars.

I’ve been going to this gas station for years because they have good prices and I like to patronize local businesses. They always had friendly customer service up until about 6 months ago. I don’t know if there are new owners but the current staff is terse to the point of being rude. During this holiday season, every time I’ve gone there, they have made it a point to remind me that it’s the holidays and they have an expectation of a tip. They try to make a joke out of it but it makes me very uncomfortable. If I want to tip someone, I will. I don’t expect an attempt to shame me into giving extra. There are a lot of gas stations in the area. I’ll take my business to one of them from now on.

There has been a lot of talk (over a dozen accounts of incidents over the past 2 months) among Springfield residents lately of this particular gas station having credit card fraud issues and overcharging at the pump. Would avoid this place.
