Stewart's Shops

Had to stop here en route to Hancock for a fishing trip. I enjoy stopping at Stewart’s, I love the variety of snacks and it seems like they have great customer service; this one was the best I’ve been to. Matt was especially polite and attentive, seemed like a real go-getter. If he wasn’t helping customers he was doing various other tasks to stay busy and keep the store clean and efficient. Good to see some people still care and take pride in their work. When I stopped on my way home, Matt was there again, and it’s worth mentioning he made a great milkshake. Will be stopping at this Stewart’s on my trips to Hancock from this point forward

What happened to cashiers at Ellenville Stewart's? I was in line Monday morning and a man ahead of us was purchasing items and paid for them, but also asked for a bag. Apparently the cashier already did a transaction and didn't "charge"for the bag. He had way too many items to carry and usually cashiers ask if customer likes a bag to go with it. With nasty loud attitude she said "6 cents!" It was truly disgusting to witness. He asked why couldn't she have said something ahead as he paid with debit,as now he has to break a large bill for those 6 cents..which he did. There was small change sitting in the little holder by the cashier many places have,so customers can toss small change in case someone needs a few pennies. This was a perfect example of when it IS appropriate to use that change. He spent quite a bit of $ there as well. This was truly sad to watch He looked at the change sitting in the little holder and asked "Couldn't you have simply taken it from here? She snapped with "HAVE A NICE DAY!" Just wow! I wish he complained but when i asked him after as I did confront him outside, ,he said no need,we all have bad days but this was not a bad day,this was a customer being talked down to. So as A customer myself,I decided to be a good Samaritan and place this review as the big boss of that place was always polite. I know this behavior is not acceptable. Is this how we treat hard working men and women out there? The cashier was a latin woman as I don't know her name and that's how I am able to describe her. That form of treatment is truly NOT needed. I get 120$ in gas weekly and snacks prior to work at Stewart's Ellenville. Because of this ,I will avoid that place as the world is already suffering and witnessing such behavior is something i want to avoid if I can! Please retrain your cashier in KINDNESS and to RESPECT customers who are respectful to your staff.

Manager name Lillian got a very negative attitude also I never was sevre 4 slices of pizza to go with no bag or box that they use before, she never greet me and was nasty ..

It's a new store in highland on 9w. What happened to the price of ice cream it's crazy $5 something a gallon .Come on its ice cream

They have stopped stocking Lagunitas IPA, so I no longer shop here
