NEVER BUY THE FOOD! They don't check for dates. On the way back from an auction in Housatonic, I stopped to get a lunch but had to use the bathroom first. I saw the signs warning me not to use unless I buy something, so I said to the nicely dressed Indian lady that I was going to buy lunch when I got. She was pleasant enough and the bathroom was spotless with all kinds of signs posted explaining to all who come here how to use a toilet. I guess where she comes from, all the guys sit to pee. Anyway, I bought a chicken salad sandwich from the cooler and found out 20 miles later while driving that one side of bread was wet and soggy, the other hard as a rock. PLUS! The chicken salad was only on the half of the sandwich facing out from the cooler! The other half didn't have anything in it! And that was the half that was packaged with a cardboard triangle si=haped holder HIDING the chicken salad! I know, they didn't make it at the station, but why sell it in the first place? I also bought a KIND bar and had to spit out the first bite as it was so stale and it had an illegible sell by date on that one. I also bought a Kit Kat bar which has the sell buy date of 9/24 - 2.5 months prior! I also bought two frozen Shahi Kuffi's - a frozen Indian treat that was great! They were all I could eat. I paid $23 and couldn't eat any of it except for the frozen Kuffi. I am calling all of the companies today to tell them to investigate with their Distributors and stop her from doing that again. The saddest thing about all of these poor reviews is that as a kid growing up in the 50s and 60s and well in to the late 70s, ANY gas station was a haven for all of us kids and our parents who needed to get out and stretch and use the bathroom. And if we didn't buy something cuz we were late or whatever or just not hungry or thirsty, we weren't forced to buy something! Civility and kindness have disappeared for the American family who rides in their car, at least at this gas station.

I came into pump gas, got my gas then went into the store to get something to drink and use the bathroom. As I'm looking for something to drink the cashier lady was harassing me saying I need to buy something or get out and that the bathroom is only for customers. I explained to her that I just spent 70 dollars on gas but she wasn't having it. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting not to mention the coffee was several hours old when I checked it. I feel like I was racially profiled and I deeply do not appreciate this kind of behavior whatsoever. Never come here.

The experience was so negative that I feel obligated to warn other travelers about this establishment. My friend and I went in to use the bathroom after filling up my tank to full. The older worker accosted my friend and made her feel uncomfortable by asking her incomprehensible questions (we legitimately did not understand what he was trying to say) after she finished using the bathroom. After using the bathroom myself, I attempted to exit the building but I was stopped by a younger worker who flailed his arms back (as if to start a fight) and kept aggressively saying "May I help you?". At first, I was confused; I saw the signs that said bathrooms are only for customers, for which I was one since I purchased gasoline. I put two and two together and understood that the worker assumed that I wasn't a paying customer. I understand store policy but there is a way better (and civil) way of asking if I was a paying customer. I do not appreciate being aggressively borderline yelled at. A better solution to this bathroom for paying customers only ordeal could be to lock the bathrooms and providing the keys only to paying customers. Honestly, go to the Love's that is two minutes away or if you're going eastbound, just drive the ten or so minutes to the Lee rest stop. Again, I understand that every business has the right to maintain their own bathroom policies. I also want to preface this with the fact that I seldom post reviews and in those rare occasions when I do, they are fundamentally positive in nature. Rant aside, I sincerely hope that the folks working here were just having a bad day and that they are not like this usually.

3.29 for a 99-cent water bottle. Just drive 2 miles down for better prices

I went in to get gas and use the restroom, the person at the register who said he was a manager mentioned buying something without using the restroom, and asking me if I'm using it in the first place both BEFORE AND AFTER using it. Please leave people alone about using the restroom, if people have done damage, get a camera, don't act like a jerk to everyone who comes in because you think they're going to break your stuff. He acted like I was the one being rude when I told him it was ridiculous of him to ask me that in the first place, especially after buying gas. He mentioned being respectable, but he wasn't respectable to me just having to use the bathroom. No number to call and complain either, so I'm forced to feel uncomfortable with no recompense
