This Sunoco gas station is located at 301 W Lancaster Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003. You can contact them at (610) 649-1991 or +1 610-649-1991. As a "Nearby Gas Stations" platform category entry, this location offers both fuel and automotive inspection/repair services.

Customer reviews express serious concerns regarding the integrity of the automotive services provided at this location. Multiple customers have reported experiences where they took their vehicles in for state inspections and were subsequently presented with lists of allegedly necessary repairs, often totaling significant amounts of money.

Specific complaints include claims of fabricated exhaust problems and falsely reported worn-out tires, despite recent replacements. Customers have also reported being told they needed expensive drive shaft and U-bolt replacements, which were later determined to be unnecessary by other mechanics. Additionally, there are reports of previous instances where the station over-torqued an oil pan bolt, leading to costly repairs. While the station did offer a partial credit in that instance, the overall pattern of reviews raises concerns.

These reviews suggest a pattern of potential overcharging and unnecessary repair recommendations. Customers are advised to exercise extreme caution when seeking automotive services at this Sunoco location and to consider obtaining second opinions before authorizing any repairs. Potential customers should be aware of the negative reviews surrounding automotive services and should carefully consider if they wish to have their vehicles inspected or repaired at this location.

I took my car in for inspection, and they said it would take a few hours. When I returned to pick it up, they claimed it had issues like exhaust problems and worn-out tires. However, the car was perfectly fine when I dropped it off, with new tires I installed just four months ago. Now they're charging $2000 for repairs, but I only went in for a state inspection. Be cautious with these guys; I regret not checking things out before leaving my car with them.

Very bad experience. At an inspection I was told that my car needed a new drive shaft and U bolt for 1800 work! After driving it and taking it elsewhere it turned out there was nothing wrong with the shaft or the U bolt but that the emergency brake cable did need a minor adjustment. Several years ago they over torqued oil pan bolt resulting in an expensive repair and replacement of the oil pan . The did give me a credit for half the expense.

I hit a pothole on Haverford Road this afternoon and limped into Heilman Auto Service with a flat tire. Tom was very friendly and helpful. He had my spare tire put on for me and ordered the tire I need. He is going to call me as soon as the new tire arrives. I’m relieved to have been able to make it to Heilman after that pothole. This made a difficult situation much more bearable.

Brought my car in for emissions inspection but didn't pass due to the "monitors not being ready" which was my fault for resetting a check engine light. Ended up not being ready the second time as you need to drive the car 50-100 miles usually to set readiness, but in my case a lot more. They were very patient and helpful in the process, and when I brought it in the third time they hopped in the car to do a quick check before I left, and the car passed.

They ripped me off yesterday for my inspection. They charged me 185 dollars for labor even though they made me wait over an hour for a part they didn't have and the guy "working" on my car was on the phone at the front desk most of the time while I was there. They TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN HERE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. Go to a legitimate place like Midas or Firestone for repairs. All I needed was air filters and break fluid by the way.
